Ok, I'm anti-Bush, I'm anti-war but I'm suprisingly not in the mood too discuss it right now (I got my fix in Extensions History today). I also do believe that America has an increasing amount of influence over Australia whether politically or socially.
Can I just say in reference to heinemann's last post. Aarons (I did it again) picked me up on this many-a-time but if your going to insult someone at least do it right, "Luckmeister you a dickhead" isn't right, you should be saying "you're a dickhead" [see look what you made me do Aaron.]
But also, everyone is an individual, it just depends on how much of one you are, no one is completly the same. Although alot of people's interpretations and concepts are shaped by outside factors, more than what they should be these people are more than this. Even the most shallow people will have some form of natural hate, fear or desire. The clones you see down the street may only chose to dress like that, you don't know how smart they are, how retarded they are or what they even like. Also I don't agree with people taking huge leaps to say how independent or different they are, people know you are and believe it or not there are some similarities between you and the people that you despise.
This is a little off topic but, what is wrong with vegetarians? I'm a vegetarian, and I personally feel that people with dreads look very sexy! but then again I go for the whole Environmental look.

The only thing tha annoys me is when people are vegetarian and they insist on trying to put you off your meat , even when you accept that person as a vegetarian and all their vegetarian ways of life. ie , you're eating a meat pie and she goes 'oh you're eating a cow' 'well no shit'

Ok I know the topic has evolved onto vegan and so forth but in my last rant about iraq I don't think i answered TLCM's original question. Yes I believe we are becomng too much like america which is a shame because, while there are some parts of american society which are good, there alot of other parts which are bad. I would like to see us have our own identity but the trouble is Australia hasn't figured that out. I heard a song on jjj 2day, some hip hop stuff, but they bagged the way little shits try and act like the american gangs with what they wear and how they talk and how fake and ridiculous it was. While I think that its important to have america as a political ally and friend, it would be a national shame for us to become another state in the union.
