I am starting a pettion to get the guestbook back - it has been awhile now since was taken down and i am sure the fuckwitts have gone away leaving us the decent people left to leave pleasent messages for our friends - so leave your name and messae and hopefully heath will read it and let us have it back soon.

although i got no problem with what your doing, I do wonder what the point is when this message board can be used for anything the guestbook was.

true - the message board can be used for messages - buit i found the guestbook good for quick message where you don't have to sign in and find teh page then thread u want - it dosn't really matter what ever happens, happens

a guestbook is useless when there's a perfectly fine message board..as past experience shows when this site had a guestbook, all it did was:
a) give a place for people to write messages to friends who'd visit the site because they were too lazy to email
b) become a publicity whore where everyone advertised their bands and talked nothing about jebs
c) provided lame people with a chance to talk about eating tampons and the like.
atleast with this message board there's some order for me to leave my dickheaded opinions.

Michael, whilist agree with you that SOME dickheads wrote crappy things in the guestbook i disagree with with you on some of your other points. I think it would be very boring if we talked only about the Jebs and nothing but the Jebs on the guestbook/messageboard, if people have nothing decent to write about the Jebs they start writing crap about the Jebs personal lives and such crap like "I want Chris" which is stupid. i have learnt about alot of great perth bands through the Meassage board and guestbook like Klippspringer so i dont think its at all a bad thing to write about other bands or tell us about there own bands. i have met alot of really nice people on the guestbook and messageboard from all around Australia and from oversea's who all have the common interest of the Jebs which i think is great there is always gonna be a few dickheads but why should they wreck it for the rest of us?. |

i think you've misunderstood what i've meant by grouping the message board and the guestbook as almost the same thing..
i dont have any problems with people talking about stuff other than jebs, i was saying that the GUESTBOOK was being used for things mentioned in my previous thread when the purpose of the guestbook is to leave a quick note about the site or the subject of it...
So now that the site has a message board it is somewhat pointless to have a guestbook since the message board takes over all uses of the guestbook, plus allows for more discussion on a free range of topics.
so pretty much if there was a guestbook it would serve as a very basic version of the message board and would take up bandwidth and server space.
As far as people talking about things other than jebs, i've got no problem with that...it's what a message board is for, however i mentioned it in my previous message because it was what the guestbook was being used for and that's far from the guestbooks purpose.
so to simplify all the shit i just wrote...
Message Board GOOD...guestbook pointless
