Has anyone else had any trouble burning the MP3 version of 'Teflon' and 'Nothing last forever' on the www.strmachine.org website? All other songs have worked but for some reason I keep getting an error mesasge for those two songs when I try to put them on to a CD. Any suggestions?

I'd put my money on the owner of the site being too drunk / too busy harrassing people on msn to worry about that site.

At least the owner wasn't whispering sweet virtual-nothings in Michael's ear and dancing their way to the toilet frequently.

They're live tracks and acoustic versions. They're not widely available. If you buy the singles that some of the tracks are taken from now they'll be secondhand (being out of print) Jebediah won't get royalties anyway. So download away.

Don't get me wrong - I don't believe in downloading MP3s when the material is available new in stores and the money is going back to the artists. If you bothered to check, you'd notice that most of the tracks on www.starmachine.org aren't available anywhere, even on out of print releases. For the ones that are, at least this way the auditory love is shared around, instead of going straight into the bank account of a professional second hand pimp on eBay.

For the record I have every Jebediah release and paid my money for them, including all singles except 'Feet Touch the Ground' and the 'Star machine' single which was promo only, I should have bought FTTG at the time but for some reason I didn't and have never seen it for sale since.
So I think I am entitled to download a few live versions.

as far as i know there are absolutely no songs for download on that site which are currently available to be purchased new, and the majority were never for commercial sale in the first place. the whole deal with that page from the get-go was that if there was going to be mp3s, then they were only going to be bootlegs/rarities. i've got no intentions whatsoever of sticking up new/studio/unreleased material, or anything that's exclusive to jebediah.net - and i checked with both heath and craig before the site even went up. if they wanted anything taken down then i'd do it. fansites are next to fucking dead without some form of multimedia, i'm just trying to make the thing halfway interesting.

the only difference between star machine and any other promo is that it is in the discography. animal (radio edit) and please leave (radio edit) arent up there, among other things.
all the OSS promos (apart from what, the radio album? and the listening post promo) came in jewel cases with artwork similar to the singles.
sarah's site is fantastic. live versions of tracks kick serious arse, esp since jebs are so rockin' live.
i still reckon' that the pines version of tv lies is better than the studio one. i think chris' noodling sounds better...

Well in that case if you don't count Star Machine I have all singles bar 1,
I was dissapointed the the two b sides on feet touch the ground single didn't make it onto Gleesides but oh well. Are they any good?
Two songs which I do have, but for other fans I think should have made it on to Gleesides were: Duran Duran cover - 'hungry like the wolf' Occasional Course Language - 'simple' plus the two new songs of the plese leave single, I only ever got the live versions copy, from memory there were two versions.

the FTTG b-sdes (Look that Way and Work in Progress) are two of the best Jebs b-sides.
Look that Way is on the US version of OSS (still in print). Work in Progress is only on FTTG single.
Pharmacy 777 and Tongue Twister are on the brown please leave. both tracks are really fun and definately worth hunting down.
Simple is still available on the Aus release of the JEW split. its out on jebs own redline records.
Hungry Like the Wolf was only on the DD tribute album, but trust me, the whole album is cool.
