the thing about weezer is they demo all these awesome songs that still haven't seen the light on any lp to date....
I've got a whole swagger of them on the computer from before Napster's demise and then for a little while off Kazaa.....
I'm sure when proceedings come to an end for WEezer there'll be a huge extras album

My brother downloaded all the supposed album 5 demos ( dont know where from though) which were apparently all scrapped.. which is a shame because they would've made an awesome album.. .. 'hey domingo', '367', ' superstar' all cool tunes ...

apparently they are re-recording some of pinkerton for either the new album or b-sides.
either way, i'm happy. it could be the first step to rivers writing personal (ie: good) lyrics again...

best band of all time. across the sea is the most emotional song i have ever heard, relates sooo well to me personally, the whole song builds up to this intense climax. pinkerton is the best album of all time. pure emotional music that screams true feelings. it hurts to play it sometimes.
they are releasing a new album soon, currently in rehearsals. i cant wait, lets hope its a better effort than maladroit some good songs on their, my fav is love explosion but they are good. just not as good as some.
its weird coz ppl bagged the shit out of pinkerton when it was first released then a couple of years later it got huge and was critically acclaimed. thats why rivers was so cut with it all, coz he wrote an album that he poured his whole heart into and ppl thought it sucked. if you were him would you do it again? he is a freaked guy. anyone seen the interview with some web portal, he doesnt even look at the reporter the whole time. its awesome to watch like he doesnt give a shit. its about time they come to tour in oz as well.
just my 2 cents worth lol.

Weezer get the thumbs up. Their Green album (Hash Pipe in particular) started me off. I followed up with Maladroit then the Blue album. I think the Green one is their best overall so far. The Blue and Maladroit have some great tracks but I think they all don't add up as well as Green.

Pinkerton shits on the other albums.
it's the kinda album that only someone who hasn't been critically panned can write.
hence, green and maladroit are really weak compared to it.
