any grinners fans picked this up?
i really like it, the 3 original tracks could easily rival the material off new detention... in fact i reckon "off piste" is one of the better songs they've ever written. they got a bit of flack in the media with some people saying the inxs cover is "uninspired", but personally i think that's a load of crap - they did the song justice and phil proves that he can really sing when he wants to.
target in hay street has it for $4.75 if any perthies are interested.

Its an okay song, but it isn't really something special. It sounds too similar/not significantly different compared to the original. Covers should at least show some significant difference that makes it stand out more as opposed to the original.

true dave, i agree - but i'd rather listen to the grinners do inxs than hear any of those fuckin terrible dance djs serve up horrific remixes which are indeed significantly different

grinners hosted fly the smorning if ane 1 watched it. they played the usual buzz clips, but songs of their personal choice were strange(out of the usual)

I was devastated when i heard they were putting out a bonus disc, having already picked up new detention but its god you can just pick the ep up for a change. Off Piste is definetly the stand out for me as well. But the cover of Don't Cange is stil a rockin' song - not bad for a fiver!

you love it don't ya? the album comes out, and then they usually stick a bonus live disc, cd-rom thing or whatever into the deal a few weeks/months later. thankfully a fair few bands have been also releasing the bonus material separately lately... the strokes dvd comes to mind. on another note, welcome dymo hope you like it here.
