didn't want to bump that other thread and have people get snappy...
thoughts?
i reckon old molko has realized eyeliner = $$ and has therefore taken a delve back to the days of old... strangely enough apart from a few bleeps and blips i think this song sounds like it came straight off the first album.
i thought this band was the shiznit when i was 16. then i went out and bought the cure's back catalogue.

i love the bitter end!
although i think it sounds more like the black market music style, but its a step up. black market music seems to fall a short, brian has said this in interviews. he says it doesnt really work as a unit, liek the other albums do. its a few strong songs short and it delves into politics and subject matter not in the other albums, came off to be quite a negative album. whereas the first and second are more spontaneously kind of angst driven, emotional and self indulgent i think.
i think the bitter end is something fresh, but by no means a new direction for the band, and im happy with that, in our troubled times of bands changing musical direction, its nice to be able to count on placebo to provide a pastiche of the old and new.
i seriously cannot wait for sleepign with ghosts. unlike many of you i havent heard it yet, i like the anticipation.

I've been known to follow goth-girls through the mall, especially if they're wearing long black skirts....they just do things to me!
