after deciding ages ago not to go last week i had a total change of heart and thought so what if it's an average line up it's live music from good enough aussie bands.

motor ace were better than expected, thanks largely to the fact that they played more from 'five star laundry' than 'shoot this'.

mgf (the only band on the bill i was seeing for the first time) were fucking hillarious and put on a very entertaining set.

shihad were awesome, as always.

jbt weren't as good as i'd remembered them, maybe it was just the stupid people i had around me but for some reason i just couldn't enjoy their set.

grinspoon were well, grinspoon, they played too much of the new album in a row but had a good vibe and tight set, the inxs cover was nice.

overall an enjoyable day considering the piss-weak all ages we get in perth

yeah, i piked on rock it.
kinda regret it, as it would've been better than staying home slaving over an art painting...but then, i guess i have seen the bands lots of times before.
all i can say is, i hope the summer edition rock it lineup is better.

yea im hanging out for those announcements because i assume they are gonna include internationals (they made an effort of saying this was an all-aussie lineup). but i liked the day....festivals are always great and i got to see some great bands again. but i agree bout grinners overindulging on the material from their newie...they should have stuff with just a few and not too many. but looovvved the inxs cover at the end!

I agree on JBT, I think I am just really over all his political stands, sorry John, I don't care to listen to it anymore, just play the music.

What was with the line-up though, I don't think JBT should of been 2nd last, although he was good to calm the drowd, which I assume why he was put there? And Bodyjar before Motor Ace...

But I'm more looking forward to the punk show tonight than I was for Rock-it. And I'm not even going for S/O.
