[glow=red,2,300]Moneen[/glow] www.moneen.comMoneen are a kickass band who sound slightly similar to Jimmy Eat World. They have incredible builds in their songs. I guess they would be labelled into the "emo" ( ;D ) category. Their latest album is called The Theory of Harmonial Value. My favourite songs are: The start to this may be the end to another Why bother wondering when wondering's all you got The passing of America [/size] AND... Jebediah saw them when they were in Canada and THEY liked them... so they must be good! [glow=red,2,300]RUTH'S HAT[/glow] www.ruthshat.comRuth's Hat are a fun band from the detroit area. They are pure fun funky punktastic! That's right. With songs about how light beer is fucking close to water (like sex in a canoe), how stalking can be fun, and how they're not cool, but they're cooler than you. They're just a great punk band that'll make you do a happy dance from beginning to end. Check out: Why Ain't drinkin' no light (beer) (still) Cooler than you[/size]

There was a band that JEW did a split called Blueprint. the songs on that 7 inch was pretty cool. Also an early TGUK song 'Don't hate me' is rad. Waylayd is a good band from mornington peninsula in Vic.

www.deepelm.com does the job....and i agree, brandtson are a great band, and 'leaving ohio' is definately a top song...Other good Brandtson songs include "Words For You", "Holly Park" and "Long Walk Home www.brandtson.comMy friend got me to download a few Hummmr songs from their site www.hummmr.com a few days ago-- haven't had much of a listen but they sound pretty good...My favourite would definately be "Jasmine" and "Motorway" is pretty damn good...but don't even bother with the Grinch song. I'm suprised at the lack of Knapsack mentions around this message board...They're a great band and I think a lot of Jebediah fans would really like them. www.pacificnet.net/~kevhayn/knapsack/indexf.htm is there site....although unfortunately they're no longer a band , but they're still worth checking out...as is the Jealous Sound, who features Blair from Knapsack...www.jealoussound.com and one last one, Tiltmeter...local band from the moonee valley region of melbourne, they've just released an EP distributed through Shock, so you might be able to get ur local record store to get it in...It's called diamonds on the apple tree...Check out www.tiltmeter.cjb.net (they've got audio samples, but it's not working for me..try your luck) And for anyone in melbourne, it's being launched on the 11th, at the Punters Club with Greedo.. anyway, i think i've said enough.

Well yeah there is lots there is KIPLAH , a melbourne punkish band with there best song One wish....... or FROG IN A SOCK, a bendigo band thats is into fun comical soft rock best songs two demensionality and pancreas, this band also got into the national battle of the band finals this year , another Bendigo band that made the finals a couple of years ago, and could have even won but im not sure are ZENYTH who play a rock/alternative type of mellow music and are very talented, Motorcar would be there best, CIRCA CZECH play rock music in a pretty fun approach and are willing to muck aorudn with there songs, best song is Take your time, and then you have the almighty CROUTON which play a fun type of rock music also, and kind of sound liek JEbs, besxt song Tired and sorry.

New Perth band on the scene. 4-piece that go by the name of [glow=red,2,300]IRIX[/glow].
Its my mates band, but they were the winners of the JJJ Aussie Anthem competition on the Morning Show!! The song they won with was called "Ozzie" and they always - well nearly always end their gigs with it. They play every Thursday nite at the Taipan Room (doors open at 8pm) so check em out.
Oh and my fave song by Irix is "Daughter of Mine".

wel cos i live over the other side of the country so any perth band is almost invisible here and that means that i know some almost unknown bands thanks to you fine people. so some great perth bands are the fergusons (definately the best i have heard in a while), mousey brown , turnstyle, team jedi, red jezebel, beaverloop (rip) adam said galore and many many more! also noone knows jimmy eat world here either, so they are another one, well almost any band that isnt fully commercial the people over here dont know missing out hey

Well they're not as unknown as some, but I love george. They rock. theyre pretty good except i dont like when the guy sings the songs because the bands heart would be the girls voice, when Spawn was first out ages and ages ago i was obbsessed with it, bought the single and was totally dissapointed cause majority of it is him and he reaks it..... oh well im going to shutup ranting now..
