I think the time will come when jebs need to do a b-sides album for the fans. I have all the singles, and I tell you those b-sides would make one hell of a good album by the best band in the world. Who agrees?

I definately agree with you - there are so many great b- sides from the earlier singles - I love Thought About It and Monument from Leaving Home single *Denver and Bosco - from the Jerks Of Attention single. *Monument and Thought About It - from the Leaving Home single. *Weekend Away, Slightly Odd Way, Slow Down - from Military Strongmen single. *Teflon (cooling brothers remix), You, Tracksuit (Live at the Cornflakes) & Jerks of Attention (Live at the Cornflakes) - from the Teflon single. *Supposed to Say & The Less Trusted Pain Remover - from the Animal single. *Look that Way & Work in Progress - From the Feet Touch The Ground single. *Puck Defender (live), Invaders (live), Skin (live) & Congratulations (live) - from the Please Leave single(Blue) * Pharmacy 777 & Tongue Twister- from the Please Leave single (brown) *Television Lies & Hey Presto! - from the Fall Down single. *Closing Time, Fall Down (demo), Run of the Company (live at CBGB's) & Animal (live at CBGB's) - from the Nothing Lasts Forever single. *Ferris Wheel, Smiler, Superhero 6½ & Tracksuit - From Twitch EP. *Harpoon (Something For Kate), Clint (Cover - SFK), Sorry, Ski Trip & I Ran (Cover - Flock of Seagulls) - from the Harpoon EP. what a great album that would make There's definately enough songs there to fill a whole album They would have to have the Ratcat cover of Blame on it as well

is this just about not liking to change cd's so you can listen to all the b-sides paying $20-$30 for an album if you already have all the songs on CDs if they were going to release a special sort of album they'd be better off doing a live album..

Well, the only releases i'm missing from Jebediah is the new version of tracksuit from the SO vinyl or Jap release, and some live stuff, so a b-side album wouldn't interest me that much.
They could add a few new ones as well, but why pay 20-30 dollars for 4-5 new b-sides when you could (hopefully) just get one or two singles with the same songs for about $10?
So I say make your own ;D

I think it would be a nice idea. They could structure it like the Smashing Pumpkins greatest hits and bung a couple of unreleased or real early songs on it so we all buy it!

most greatest hits releases are put out by labels, so they can make some quick money.
take oasis for example - when their greatest hits cd was released, it was on their former label, so the label wouldve got a massive cut from it. i dont know if the band wouldve got money from it, but the label would definately be rolling in money.

i think this is a great idea..as long as monument was on it.that song is so good
i think adding live stuff would be good as well...someone should suggest this to the label

but what would sony do if jebediah went to another label?? they'd have nothing to release...hmm, perhaps they'd put the 2 ep's together...yes, that sounds evil. mwahaha.
btw, they just had an album released a month ago...why are people wanting fresh blood already?

i'm still trying to find a way to scam the new album for free... unsuccessful as yet. as for b-side album... fuck paying for it, burn your own. $1 blank cd from the bargain shop vs $30 for a released cd... pah. call me cheap but lock in option a.

i think this is probably the sort of thing that should happen a little later. and i dont fancy paying for songs i already have and yeah it would just be a money maker for sony.
but agreed that the b-sides rock and i'd still buy it. i mean who can be fucked changing all those cds.

I would like to see them release a b-sides album. I don't see anything wrong with it except i would like to see it happen after another album or two.
You can bet yer arse if jebediah leave sony, sony will release a 'greatest hits' cd straight away. Just look what happened to silverchair when they switched, they had no say over that album. those albums are the sought that should come out at the end of a bands carrer, not during it

silverchair did the best of with there singles and there b sides (ok so sony released it after they left the label) maybe jebs could do something like that..later on in the year of course it would make a good xmas pressie!
