i work at a book store and i started reading 'journals' at work one day but i just felt so intrusive and wrong so i put it back on the shelf. how would you like it if some-one came into your room and read your personal diary, then, after you died decided to publish it to make money? i know it's different because he's famous, and he was a musical hero who fans related to but i still don't believe that we, as members of the public have the right to read his journals.

I'll admit, I'd be very interested to read it, but it does seem very intrusive.

Yeah, it's bullshit. I'd still read it and enjoyi t, but just because he's a celebrity everybody thinks that he owes them something. He owes you shit, and publishing the journal was a mistake.

ive read almost all of it now, damn long drive home, and i wouldnt call it a journal at all, if you read what he writes he is actually telling you his feelings about the world and doesent write it like he is the only one that is going to see it. in parts he writes "you may see me as a hypoocrite", so really, you guys can all have a dip in the shitter

yeah, I think there is. I started reading it in Big W but only got through 2 pages before I had to go. I was reading something else while I was there too, I have no idea what it was though but it got me interested.
