I kinda like the line up although like a few here, i'm pissed that look that way didn't get on. Maybe since it was on the US version of shambles perhaps? But so was Jerks and Tracksuit was on the vinyl & asian verson of odway. I agree with Josha that the fall down singles shouldn't be on there, I didn't think they were that good. With complilations i guess, you're never going to please everyone. Millhouse, you raise some good points. Maybe Sony didn't have the money for October considering the amounts they spent on Killing Hiedi and we all know how successful that was.

Ok, here's a confirmed tracklisting folks. 01 Minutes (new track - #3 era IIRC) 02 Monument (Leaving Home) 03 Television Lies (Fall Down) 04 The Less Trusted Pain Remover (Animal & Split) 05 Pace it (new Magic Dirt cover) 06 Tracksuit (which version??) 07 Clint (Harpoon - Something For Kate cover) 08 Weekend Away (Military Strongmen) 09 Hey Presto! (Fall Down) 10 Bosco (Jerks of Attention) 11 Supposed to Say (Animal) 12 Jerks of Attention (I assume the old single version) 13 Smiler (Twtich) 14 Closing Time (Nothing Lasts Forever) 15 Ski Trip (Harpoon) 16 When the Generals Talk (Midnight Oil cover for tribute CD) 17 Thought About it (Leaving Home - live demo version) 18 Big Beer Wall (Of Someday Shambles "zero" track) i'm pretty damn happy with that tracklisting, apart from the inclusion of 'hey presto!' and 'television lies'..but, including 'supposed to say', 'bosco', 'less trusted pain remover' and 'ski trip' more than makes up for it!! i really would've loved 'sorry' to be on this CD though, although i know that there's already two tracks from the 'harpoon' EP. that song is one of my very favourite jebediah b-sides and i miss hearing it...it used to be played live quite often, and i think it definately deserves to be on this compilation! it's completely underrated.

But so was Jerks and Tracksuit was on the vinyl & asian verson of odway. The difference is that Of Someday Shambles from the US is easily available. Jerks of Attention is pre-Odway, and kinda rare (since heaps of people got into them with the next single, Leaving Home) and the vinyl Slightly Odway is OOP and _vinyl_ (read: worse sound quality - generally speaking) and the Odway asian. well. I finally got a new one after like 2 years of looking, and having it on order at a place for like 6 months. I bugged Heath to chuck in on as a B side or on that JEW split for _ages_...

_vinyl_ (read: worse sound quality - generally speaking) Vinyl's better sound quality..It's the raw data, where as CD players just take a sample of the data. If you have shit speakers it often all ends up the same, but on music with a lot of quick changes parts of notes are often missed on CD. The only downside to the sound of records is that where there's silence or dust, it often makes a hiss or crackle sound. i think thats right.

but (at least in my experience) vinyl is less consistant.
that's why I personally prefer CD.

Vinyl sounds a hell of a lot more human, warmer, etc. CD's are very cold.

Hmm... i too am a little annoyed at the inclusion of the fall down b-sides... extremely easy to find two better replacements!

I tend to agree with most ppl here about the fall down singles.
I would have preffered to see "Hungry like the wolf", "Look that way" or "Tongue Twister" on the CD.
But, you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Ok, I don't have all the Jebs singles, actually I've got bugger all. But I've heard many of the songs mentioned here at various times. Although stuff off the 'Fall Down' single is more easily accesible there are some people who have only recently heard of the Jebs or gotten into their music. I don't know about you but unless I really like a band I tend to only buy an album when I've heard at least one song already. So by including stuff off the 'Fall Down' single it allows more people to consider buying it. Also music is mean't to last. Just because the stuff off #3 isn't that old at the moment and is still fresh in peoples minds doesn't necessarily mean that it's not going to age and become rare in 5 or so years (assuming that the album will still be in circulation).

It's not that they're more easily accessible, its that they're all available (last time I looked) at 78 records for _retail_ price. That being said, Jebs said it was their favourite b sides, so I don't think rarity has everything to do with it (tho, I'm sure the sparities are rare tracks )

Ok, I don't have all the Jebs singles, actually I've got bugger all. That reminds me to tell all you asses out there that think just because you've got every jebs cd ever it doesn't mean you're any bigger fan than a person who only has say twitch, odway, oss and #3. You're just cunts!

Having everything jebs put out doesnt mean ur a bigger fan by any means, but it does mean u have better knowledge and therefore can make wiser comments. Maybe u should try that instead of calling poeple c***s for no reason.
