In order of preference: (And order in my car cd stacker)
10. Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving An album that is just made for cruising.
9. Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing Can't explain it, just love it.
8. Regurgitator - Unit An album with more twists than the Lethal Weapon ride.
7. Something For Kate - Echolalia Simply stunning, only bettered by hearing it live and acoustic from Paul Dempsey.
6. Garbage - Version 2.0 Hard edged electronic rock, great at full volume.
5. Coldplay - Parachutes Simple and honest.
4. silverchair - Neon Ballroom Apart from the commercialisation of the chair, this album was still great. Dark and brooding.
3. Jebediah - Of Someday Shambles Do I have to explain why the Jebs are so good?
2. Eskimo Joe - Girl Cute. Sits nicely alongside Coldplay's Parachutes.
1. The Smashing Pumpkins - Adore The most intimate and heartfelt of all SP albums, and copped a beating by the media and cynics.

1. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream. Not liking this album is a hangable offence. Oh yeah. thats my no. 1 pick as well... but i don't think i can manage 10 ordered CD's like that... help. but somewhere in there would be Silverchair - Diorama, Of Someday Shambles, hm...beautiful sharks (SFK)... Polyserena (george)... Revenge is Slow (bluebottle kiss) and probably neon ballroom too... mellon collie...

okay... in no order, purely because I cannot be fucked, here are my top 10 at this moment in time...
Jebediah - Of Someday Shambles - this album is one that I liked when I got it, rested for a while, and now absolutely adore. i often leave a CD to settle, and come back later to love it more than ever, and this is definately one of them.
Weezer - Pinkerton - definately Rivers Cuomo's best work. unfortunately he basically got snubbed with both critics and the public. darker, far far darker than TBA but with more depth. "Across the Sea" is one of the most beautiful songs of all time.
Silverchair - Diorama - an album so complex could easily have become a mess or a masterpiece. this is most certainly the latter. it's going to be interesting to see how things go with the "Across the Night" tour...
The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie and the Inifinite Sadness - where to start with these two? such diversity on each album, yet so well complementing. i've got to give MCIS the edge, but just barely - and even then it comes down to better B-sides...
Nirvana - In Utero - i used to love "Nevermind" more, but "In Utero" is just better writing, better songs, and always a reminder about the rock cliche of a drugged up frontman.
Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea - the pumpkins. minus all the shit that the pumpkins went through. and being happy. i got a copy of the advance CD a couple of days ago, and there is always a song playing from it in my house whenever i'm listening to music since i got it. it has made me laugh and cry, and no album has hit me so fast, so hard before. pure bliss. i'm almost glad the pumpkins broke up.
Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction - while missing some beautiful songs from the Illusion double release (Don't Cry in any version is a winner), Appetite is totally unskippable. with debut albums as solid as this, it's little wonder GnR only really did 2 full albums (counting UYI as a double, since its from the same sessions).
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory - a great album with some amazing songs, both sad and happy... i dare say they'll never make a better album, although Heathen Chemistry is a decent attempt... Clem Snide - The Ghost of Fashion - bought during the intermission of the "Ben Folds & a Piano" concert. not since Jebediah opening for the Presidents of the USA in 96 has an opening act had such an effect on me. it's an aquired taste, but utterly sublime.
Spinal Tap - "This Is Spinal Tap" O.S.T. - essentially a greatest hits CD for this once prominant band, great lyrics and catchy bass lines create a mystical world full of druids for the listener to revel in. utter majesty.
