This has probably been done to death, but my computer is slow as shite and really don't wanna have to go through every page looking for the same topic. 10. Pennybridge Pioneers - MillencollinMost of the tracks are very fast and energetic, which gives this album a uniqueness like no other. They (Millencollin) are definitely underrated, and have produced some really cool music. Favourite Track is 'No Cigar'. 9. Enema of the State - Blink 182I first heard this album when I borrowed it off Enis. There are a few select tracks that I like, and is the album that first got me into punk rock (even though EOTS was more the transition phase from punk to pop for blink 182). Best tracks are Whats my age again and Going Away to College. 8. Great Southern Land - IcehouseAn oldie but a goodie. While this is more emo, its a great mix between Iva Davies defining vocals and some great guitar tunes. 'Walls' and 'Can't help myself' are favourite tracks from this album. 7. Nevermind - NirvanaAnother album where all the songs are great. Fav's are Come as you are and Something in the Way. 6. There is Nothing Left To Lose - Foo FightersMy first foo album. The whole album is pure class. The one downside to this album is that the singles released, while all awesome, just got played to death on the radio. Favourite tracks are Stacked Actors, MIA, and Fraternity. 5. Recurring Dream - Crowded HouseSimply put, Neil Finn has an unbelievable yet distinct voice. Whilst this is a 'best of' release, it just has so many great singles they've released over the years. Examples are Fall at your Feet, Distant Sun, and Private Universe. 4. Stealing Chairs - 28 DaysI've played this album more than i've played the new foo album. I like this one because of the lyrics to many of the songs - Stealing Chairs and Take Me Away are very well written. This album is more melodic compared to their other albums, with 'Photos' being one of my new favourite songs. Extremely diverse in music styles, varying from punk to rock to hardcore to metal. The DVD is piss funny too. 3. Of Someday Shambles - JebediahThis is just a brilliant album, and can't comprehend how some nutjob reporter for FHM said this was one of the worst releases of all time. It shows a more sensitive, more subtle side to the jebs, and is a quality release. This album also gets better with age - Its not one of those albums you like heaps at first and get sick of after a while and never play again. FTTG is one of the Jebs finest tracks to date. 2. The Colour and the Shape - Foo FightersThere is not one song on this album I hate. The best album to come from the foos. My Poor Brain, New Way Home, February Stars, My Hero and Up in Arms are great. That Everlong song is also tops too. 1. Planet of the Stereos - Lo-telI've played this album to death. For some reason, I just love this CD more than the others, and has a great mix of tracks. Luke Hannigans voice is just so smooth and harmonic in their debut release. Genre Casting = Ratings. Well, thats my pick. Whats everyone elses?

10. Far - Water and Solutions
Ahh..a brilliant emocore album. Enough said.
9. Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
Encyclopedia Psychadelia.
8. Jebediah - Of Someday Shambles
See Dr.Everlong.
7. Sonic Youth - Goo.
Not many SY fans dig this album in it's entirety, but I hang onto the claim that it is their best.
6. Coldplay - A rush of Blood to the Head.
I don't even have to explain - one of the best, if not the best albums of this year.
5. Foo Fighters - TCATS/TNLTL
I don't even need to speak for theset wo.
4. Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
TWO CDS.
3. Mogwai - Rock Action E.P
Got really, really stoned on schoolies and had a religious experience to this.
2. Something For Kate - Elsewhere for 8 minutes.
Havn't listened to it in a while, but for a while it was all I could listen to.
1. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream.
Not liking this album is a hangable offence.

Oasis - What's the Story (Morning Glory) classic album that sticks in your head days after you heard it
Silverchair - Diorama absolute masterpiece
Something For Kate - Beautiful Sharks easier to listen to than elsewhere, not as commercial as echolalia
Speedstar* - ****Bruises You Can Touch simple yet gorgeous
Spiderbait - Ivy and the Big Apples fuzzy n fun
U2 - Achtung Baby another classic that'll stick with me forever

My top ten (that i can think of today) in no particular order..complete with my musically induced snobish comments. (dont worry, i'm not as much of an asshole off the board..i dont belong to a scene and believe me or the music i listen to is superior, i dont even wear black clothes. If anyone understands that, please tell me..i'll love you forever)
heartfeltself - My heart will never forget how to feel I'll dream this real myself and adrift I'll never dream my heart will never forget to feel I'll... (EP) The final EP from the melbourne band, recorded days before their final show. This is one of the best pieces of Australian music to be released in a long time. I know a lot of people on this board have debated about the quality of the latest albums from such Australian bands as Motor Ace, 28 days, silverchair and others, but in my opinion you should all get fucked..This CD will own you.
At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command hard to choose this over in/casino/out..but i think the bigger recording budget helped bring out the intensity a bit more and the little fidlings with electronics add a whole new layer of sound that was missing in some of their earlier stuff. I dont think much more has to be said about this.
John Lennon - Imagine I went to look for some zeppelin records in my parents record collection, and with Lennon being so close to Led i stumbled across this first. I listened to it for a few weeks straight. I'm not much of a beatles fan, nor am i of much of the solo stuff to come from the ex-members, but this record really did something for me.
Engine Down - Under The Pretense of Present Tense. There's so much to say about this band so i dont think i'll start. It's good. Real Good.
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity sometimes i'd have static previals in here instead of this..but not today.
Blueline Medic - The Apology Wars i love this band...they followed up one of my favourite EP's with one of my favourite albums. And fronted by a damn fine dancer.
U.N.K.L.E. - Psyence Fiction I have a memory of driving up to sheparton one christmas about 3-4 years ago with my dad playing this CD in the car not long after it was released. My cousin seemed to like it, but he's since changed his name to Jennifer Aniston...I guess it's just one of those CD's that have that effect on people. A whole heap of guest vocalists from Mike D, Richard Ashcroft, Thom Yorke just to name a few over beats by DJ shadow and James Lavelle. Makes my skinny white-boy ass shake.
Love Like...Electrocution - Red Hot 6 songs, just under 9 minutes...intense. Seen them twice over the last two days, amazing live show. Nice moves too.
Avalanches - El Producto it's in my backpack.
This is where i remember all the others and only have one place..i'll let it be fought out by the following few.. Planes Mistaken For Stars - s/t small brown bike - (forget name) and the Red Scare album which i also forget it's title. the nation blue - blueprint for modern noise.
this is an edit...+i just noticed i forgot to add Of Someday Shambles...so that's in there somewhere too.

That song is simply beautiful, from the opening strains of the acoustic guitar to the piano notes at the end. If it wasn't for Everlong, 'Wonderwall' would definitely be my all-time favourite song.

The Buffy soundtrack has some cool indie tunes on it. But indie kids piss me off too much to pursue the bands some more.

Ok here we go.
10 TGUK -'On a wire' Took me a while to get into this, being different from their other releases but it is clearly their best work to date and one of the best of the year.
9. Blink 182 'Dude ranch' I guess Dammit was one of those songs you associate with a period of time in your life and that was year 12. This is blink's best album. Fav song 'Apple shampoo'
8. Transplants 'transplants' Only a recent cd and it will probably dissapear off the list but i love this cd.
7.Bruce springsteen 'Darkness on the edge of town' I love the boss's ablity to write story songs and this is one of his best. Badlands would be my favourite song of the cd
6. Weezer 'Pinkerton' the first weezer album i bought and so remains a sentimental fav.
5. Motorace 'five Star Laundry' played the waiting game thoughout 2000 to finally get this and the result was worth it. better album than 'Shoot this'.
4. Sunday's best 'Poised to break' A damm fine cd
3.Klinger 'Grimshaw st' ep. A classic of Aus pop (in my view anyway) this is my favourite ep
2. Jeb 'SO/ OSS' I guess i like both these albums equally but for different reasons, SO got me into jebs while OSS, in my humble view, was a better album.
1 JEW 'Clarity' Probably been my most played cd in the last two years, best $40 i ever spent.

powderfinger - odyssey no.5 YES. That would definitely be on my list. 'Thrilloilogy' is an awesome song. I love ON5 a lot more than Internationalist (Even though that album was really good as well)

S4kate - elsewhere for 8minutes : so definetly their best album..mm pinstripe

radiohead - kid A : to incredibly good, should be 1 but a bit too moody
PJ Harvey - Rid of Me : my grunge princess, dirty dirty chords, is excellent
Nirvana - Nevermind : and then there was one...
