wow..can u say INCREDIBLE 
on 12/22/01 i went to see midtown, mest, and good charlotte in hartford ct... it was the last stop on the tour, and the final tour GC is doing for their old album before they go into the studio.
my friends and i got there at 4:30 (show started at 8), and were lucky enough to obtain some radio passes that got us into a pre-show "soundcheck," but it was more like a new music session. there was only about 100 people in the place. GC played 4 of their new songs, and just talked to us like we were their old friends. it was the coolest thing in the world; such a laid back atmosphere!
afterwards, there was an autograph signing, so i got to meet the band. they are the fucking coolest guys-so down to earth & nice. then they kicked us back out into the cold around 7, but we were last in line for the autographs, so we were first in line to get in!!
we managed to stay in the fucking front and center the eNtiRe NighT (i have the brusies from being shoved against the barrier to prove it)..the place was sold out, packed! it was incredible... i can't even describe how awesome the show was. it was totally nuts- these bands fool around so much! joel came on stage with a fire extinguisher!! so much for being in front..we were blinded..am i gonna die now that i ate that stuff? (it tastes kinda sour/sweet..lol)
they threw cake and salsa and just evErYthinG all over the place...it was such a mess! and then joel jumped into the crowd..aka rite on top of me...
good charlotte played all of their songs, and did a few acoustic numbers, too. there was even a tribute to the NY tragedy that mest sang with them...at the end all the bands came onstage....the show didn't end till 12, and then we hung out and joel used to pen to sign all of the other fan's stuff..lol. i hugged him + told him it was the best nite of my life..b/c it really was. i got a GC pick, + even met gabe from midtown!..we were the last ones out of the place, + tired + thirsty as hell, but it was so worth it...
now, the only thing that could top that would be meeting jebediah....
