i went to the wiseacre, Tiltmeter, ThinkTank, Blueline Medic gig at the punters club on saturday...it was awesome. Tiltmeter as usual put on a great performance with their set made up of more new songs then released songs...can't wait for a new EP from them specially after the shit some of them have been through last year. This band is truly one of my favourites, but i don't know what it is about them that i like so much....then Thinktank played...I hadn't heard them before, but they were really fucken awesome, I bought their EP and really recommend them for anyone who hasn't heard them. I'll never make another Adelaide joke after hearing those guys play. Then there was blueline Medic....very very very very very fan-fucking-tastic...They played a few new songs plus the tori amos cover (anyone know what tori song it is??)...donny loves the stage...you can tell by the way he dances
all bands were great...to have them all playing together was even better... R.I.P punters club

i wish i was there!! wouldve been fucking awesome. i LOVE thinktank and BLM. 2 of my favourite oz bands indeed. i cant believe yew hadnt got into Thinktank before though!! it was dan's last shows ever for them too ive seen BLM 3 times before, theyve been awesome 2/3 times, the other time they were really fucked from a few big gigs previously. but they are amazing live and on record. thats so fucked that the punters has/is closed/closing. too many live music venues are disappearing around the country. but on a brighter note!! sydney is finally getting some good all ages shows happening around the place lately... taken its damn time but atleast theyre on. i dont mean a big overseas band playing an AA show, i mean a few small local bands putting on a show to 200 kids in a small venue, nothing beats it really.
