On rockus.com.au in their Promotions section it had this on Artist: Bob Evans More Info: www.bobevans.com.au Hard to ignore, playing under the watchful eye of the label for a few years now, Redline Records gleefully snapped up Bob Evans' signature - the man with an acoustic guitar who wears his heart on his sleeve. Heath Bradby, A&R of Redline Records comments on the signing of Bob: "Sometimes you only have to look under your nose to find gold. I¹ve known Bob for some time, from the nervous beginnings to the uh, nervous present. It¹s a matter of great personal pride to have his record on our schedule." Since the age of thirteen, Bob Evans has inhabited a recess in Kevin Mitchell¹s psyche. At first the personality of Bob was easy to ignore, but his presence became ever stronger as the years went by until, by the age of twenty he was beginning to compile a short list of songs based around an acoustic guitar, a pop melody and simple lyrics inspired by the simple life of a suburban kid brought up in Bullcreek, Perth, Western Australia, 6149. Bob Evans throws in his two cents on the beginnings of his illustrious recording career: "It's going to be a fun experiment putting out my own album on a label I partly own, it'll be a real insight in to a world of independence I have never known before". 'Friday Come Five', the stunning debut single (radio only) to be lifted from the album 'Suburban Kid' will be serviced to media across the country on Monday 18th August, with the album release to follow shortly after in September.

phoebe, you are what is commonly referred to as a complete legend. and just on a side note, steph [rockus editor] is trying to get funding to make rockus into a form of print media... she's got a petition going that you can sign if you think it's a good idea. www.petitiononline.com/rockus/petition.html

Yeah nw... Vanessa's only in End Of Fashion as a temporary thing, and Bob Evans is just Kev's side project. They've written a whole bunch of new songs, so hopefully we'll see something from em.
