any lame answers saying: "everything by the spice girls is shit etc..." are banned from this thread. just join in the fun and give an opnion on which you most loved and why, how did it shape your childhood? was it forumlaic in your upbringing. do i not know how to use the word formulaic properly?
i remember that my mum loved wannabe until the spice girls became popular and then she hated it. good ol' rebellious mum.

Weren't the Spice Girls always popular?
Anyway, I liked Sporty best. Fave songs wannabe and the Stop song, they were my favs, they were also the only songs I ever knew. Spice Girls didn't really impact my childhood at all, I never owned any of their albums or singles. However I visited my Sheparton cousins once when I was young and their walls were covered in Spice Girls posters.

oops that was meant to be 'aren't' pangs.
does anyone remember that rumour that came out, when they first sort of started up, that posh never smiled? i went to all my spice girls posters and got really indignant cos she was blatantly smiling. spice world was such an awesome movie.
scary is such a nothing now. like after the spice girls broke up baby had her singing famous boyfriend thing and geri had her friends with robbie williams and singing thing and mel c had her singing fat then thin thing and posh married beckham. and then scary... well had one single released and then...well then...yeah.
at the time i could never decidw ho i really liked. sometimes sporty was awesomeness itself and baby cos she was cool and.. oh it was always such a hard decision...
i remember when geri quit. and the first item on the news was that publicist reading out her letter...

Didn't scary get married and have her wedding ring tatooed on and then separate a few months later?
I heard today that the lead singer of the Powder Monkeys died.

the spice girls? hmmmmmm long time since I thought about them... I have a strangely vivid memory of watching that movie in the middle of nowhere (well... Cundinup) on new year's eve when I was like... um.... eleven. Or something. i dunno. Weird thing to remember so clearly.

It was a waste of time for them to try and make a solo career out of themselves after the band broke up, now it just make em all look crapper than before.

you should write a book on taking things waaay too seriously the thread is basically about reminiscing about i dont know chhildhood and things that were... sort of markers along the way. i think you should, i dont know, write a book about not being relevant. it was unneccesary to make the remark and out of keeping with the intention of the thread. and hey dave. pangs: i agree to an extent. apart from "its raining men" being super awesome. and posh wasnt really ... lol. that song she did had her voice so completely electronicafied that you ... it wasnt her. i found that amusing.
