HMM.. ;D And as I'm sure you are aware, there is no need for music to get too serious. It's primarily entertainment afterall. Apu sums it up nicely in The Simpsons when, after getting the name of a Paul Mcartney song wrong, he says "whatever, whatever, it has a good rythymn!". I'd just like to see a little more credit given to the intellect and imagination of your average primary and high school aged kid when it comes to music, or anything for that matter! Cos "I believe that children are our future, treat them well and let them lead the way, show them........ahhh whatever, why should I care. COMMENT.. I QUIZ YOU?

she's back ;D
good old kev caring about the children. he has right to be concerned too... this morning on fly tv "rock your body" by justin timberlake was the most buzzed clip. this proves either of two things:
a] people really do need some assistance in their choosing of musical taste, or b] all the indie kids that watch it are too smart to waste 30c on an sms, and left it to the popettes to vote.
let's hope it's the latter.

VU, white stripes, blur, pulp. i'm still pissed they didn't show the music guest-program, but they're repeating it in a few weeks so i won't whinge. curse those lucky buggers who got to see him live

People generally just follow the herd. What music they listen to is what their friends listen to and it's what they know so they don't care. Although the pop shit is fucking huge and more people are sucked into it than anything else it's not the only style where people are influenced by shit. just.look.at.the.emo/indie scene. sure.some.of.the.music.is.the.shit.the.elitest.attitude.is.precoscious.and.stupid. fuck.these.dots.are.annoying.
As far as music not being serious it's alright for some stuff to be political or have social concepts but yeah, mabe we shouldn't whinge too much and just get on with our boring mundane lives. Let people listen to whatever shit they want, if everyone listened to the same stuff as us, we'd be having a winge about how our favourite bands sold out and how those fucking little teeny boppers spoil everything.

Yes. Despite all your rage, you're still just a rat in a cage. I hate rants.
