there's been rumours before, wrong news from JJJ concerning jebs and record labels (anyone remember the mistake Kingsmill made when announcing redline, before it was officially announced?). But i'll be interested to see if this one is confirmed or what comes of it.

That sounds like something Sony would do. They're not really interested in the so called 'alternative' scene anymore, I guess theres not alot of money in it. Is it true? I haven't heard anything........

you'd think someone else would pick them up... i don't know FA about recent sales figures or any of that shit, but they do have a loyal fanbase and, at the risk of sounding like a twat, a bright future as a band...

WHAT THE HELL this is terrible. it better be unfounded bloody rumours.... it was said, right here, that jebs were just filling a record quota with gleesides. maybe it didn't sell well enough or maybe sony were aware of how crap it was, well not crap but not top quality. they could always sign with redline, deary me! |

As far as I can figure, it's true.  Neither of the sites (www.jebediah.net or http://www.jebediah.com.au) have mentioned it at all as of yet, and Heath had no comment on it. I'd say it's pretty serious. Makes me wonder if they are going to be demoing this month... I would guess not at the moment, seeing as there is bigger fish to fry... Although, remembering that John O'Donnell (sp?) is the guy who signed Jebediah to Murmer back in '96 and he is working for EMI at the moment (if memory serves right...) I'd say Jebs are far from over yet. I was speaking to apple last night, and we tossed around the idea of for any future jebs gigs/releases/etc, we (as in all the hardcore members of these 'ere boards) should work our asses off, make posters, etc in order to support Jebs... might be a bit of a bendy road ahead Heath, if you feel this thread is pretty inappropriate (gossipping, inuendo, predictions) just say something, and I'm sure everyone will understand. Having thought about this news for the past 24 hours, I'm going to leave you all with some words from Mr. Kevin Mitchell, that (IMHO) have never seemed more appropriate...
