I haven't heard about the last rule, I always thought learners had to drive slower, couldn't drink (I still can't) and weren't allowed to tow anything.
I've only driven on my own twice so far. I went to a party last night and everything was fine (even got the radio to work. But it all turned sour when I went to leave this morning/afternoon. I told my mum that I'd call before i left but they were engaged so I just figured I'd leave. When I went to go though the engine wouldn't start, not even the lights on the dash would come on. So I thought I had a flat battery. I got out my moblie and went to call my dads phone but it also wouldn't work, I couldn't even get it to turn on. I was about to go inside and use the house phone but had one last go at turning the car on, and it worked (the moblie still didn't though). 5 minutes later I was on the road. It wasn't till I was halfway home that I remembered the esky.
It turns out that there is a crappy conection or something to the battery and the same thing has happened before, I now know how to fix it. My dad also fixed my phone, or turned it on at least.
