Next year in march my band is going to tour New Zealand. It's one of those crappy marching bands thats full of tools but thats not the point. I found out today that there will be an added $100 dollars that we will have to pay because of the airline problems and new taxes and GST that have been added by the Government. I think that it sucks.

hmm $100 extra, thats a bit steep. I wonder what airport your flying out of cause the departure fees vary from airport to airport. I guess thats what happens when you try to save Ansett. Personally I don't want qantas to dominate but i think the nz government should do more to help out ansett considering it was 100% owned by AirNz. Thanks to the absolute dickheads who thought it would be good to crash planes into buildings, we now have a levy to help out the tourism industry. Oh and by the way, good luck with your marching band, kick the kiwis arse

All I can say is, dont vote Howard, kids. Look at the state our poor lil country is in now... you really think its gonna get better unless we change government?

okay im about to get political..how very strange..
i dont want howard and his old-fashioned 1950's beliefs ..ie: wtf was he thinking with all that IVF restrictions for gay women! im not gay, but that pissed me off..wheres the supposed equality here..bu then again hes been pretty stable - apart from all those GST shennanigans - and things have been pretty fucked in the werld everywhere lately so hes a safe bet.
buuuuut i want beazley to be PM even less..he's shifty...and he pisses me off. i don't know, he just seems like he's a bit too much of a people pleaser and i don't trust that. lucky im too young to vote otherwise i'd be stumped. go the greens or something..hehe
oh and i just membered something that the really sexable dude from 'looking for alibrandi' said in the movie about govt and watnot.. "we dont vote to get the best party in, we vote to keep the worst party out." which i think is a pretty good way of putting it.

id rather see beazley than howard fer sure, but howard bougght in some good cash into the music industry,
who was it that recently got $5000000 into the wa industry?. i ferget the name, ive heard that touring grants are gunna be more accessable early next year also, thro WA, not sure wat the deal is for other states// hrmm any thoughts.. any corrections..

i wouldn't have a clue who i'd be voting fer, but yeh i reckon beazley is shifty as alex sed, he swings his opinions too much to suit the public one minute he's criticising something the next he's all for it. meh. plus i can't take any politician seriously but it makes it even harder wen they wear a mumu... hmmm all the parties shit me.

i think theyre both not worth voting for but i think howard is the teeniest bit better than that lying corrupt piece of lard.. i saw somewhere written the other day election 2001 : vote big kev. made me giggle..... though i think id vote for him if given the chance  |

Wot I thinks really funny is that all yew kids are saying that youre gonna vote Howard just coz Beazley looks shifty.
The Howard government cut the ABC's funding last year resulting in programs like JJJ's Unearthed etc. being totally scrapped. There is no money for the Arts either way, which is sad, but Labour is trying to inject money into touring grants etc.
No offense, but Im glad Im a Labour voter. Like leritchy said, im not pretending that we live in the 1950's like most Libs.
Oh and i find it interesting that most of yew kids arent even eligible to vote this election. good i say. otherwise, we'd be in for another 3-5 years of "little johnny" stuffing up the country. wa-hey.

I hate voting - i used to hand it to my mum and let her fill it out for me - i dont want John H as PM any more - but i am not very keen on Kim either - i can't be happy either way but i spose i'd rather Kim rather than john.

I have spent my entire life receiveing death threats off my dad if I ever decided to vote liberal and that whole IVF thing made me so mad, a woman should be able to have kids no matter what. I hate Howard and if it was between him and Beazly and their was no one else and I was able to vote I would go for the big guy.
