there i was people...barrier hugging and ideally positioned in front of chris and within spitting distance of kev...and i was on a mission...there it was...chris' set list staring at me...so i said at the departure of the band to security guard number 625, 'hey mate, common wouldn't just grab me that piece a paper there would ya? mate please?' as you do...to the reply of 'not a chance eh fuckin bitch'...well i said...that's fine...turned to my friend, quite calmly handed her my ticket and new bright red jebs T-shirt and legged up on the barrier and dived...to which then resulted in mr 625 grabbing me around the throat and quite promptly throwing me back against the barrier landing on my arm in such a way i was sure it was broken ONLY to be the picked BACK up by my HAIR and thrown onto the floor where the crowd had parted 'so kindly' so that the cement broke my fall instead...and so i got up holding my bleeding arm, screamed 'oh well that was fucking necessary wasn't it!?' and piss bolted towards the exit as this 625 began to climb the barrier himself...only giving myself enough time to hold the successfully grabbed list up high to receive a cheer from those who witnessed my stupid but wonderful efforts to prove my love for the jebs...mistreated or punishment deserved? you may have your opinions but i still think it was worth it!

the brissy show a while back...but i've got an awesome scar on my arm still...always a conversation starter...oh and i forgot to mention that chris had actually stopped playing to yell at this security guy during the show for punching a crowd surfer...chris was waving his arms about and even walked off stage and was pointing this 625 out to the guys side stage and being generally pissed off about it...

I understand security guards are just doing their job but some are fucking wankers. That one mentioned above sounds like the bouncers at the 21st in frankston, vic. I saw Area7 and Unwritten law/bodyjar there and they were so bad that on both occasions the bands stopped playing and told them to fuck off. They were kicking people out for jumping up and down too high. No wonder no good bands come down the peninsular anymore..

i hate sum security guards!!!! thankfully most of the perth ones are fairly decent!!! at the globe my mate jumped the guard rail to grab the set list and the security guard grabed it off her and pushed her away!!! they even hit chics... so rude!!!

Your mate jumped the rail. Your mate was in the wrong. You're complaining that the boucer was doing his job, by keeping people from getting on stage. Your mate knew that they were in the wrong.
Sorry, no sympathy from me.
I've had my run ins with security guards, and shit, I even felt bad after being dragged out of a venue by one, coz I realised I did something I wasnt supposed to do.
With the exception of that incident, I've treated security with respect, been courteous, and been given many a drink of water or setlist (such as New Order!!!! yeah!!).
Live and let live. What goes around comes around.
Only dicks get caught in zippers. Makes sense, dont it?
