Folks. A serious question, so please actually give it some thought and make your vote seriously.
We are not really a fan of this here little proboards messageboard, it has served us well over the years but it has also been a little unreliable, there are 500 members you can't see, we can't moderate it and the damn proboards people never reply to any of our questions. There are also some other good boards out there now that don't have those damn pop ups. So, should we get rid of this and get a nice shiny new board with some moderators and no ads, should we leave this one as it is, or get rid of the message board altogether?

Get an invisionfree board, copy dave those are damn nice and have plenty of things you can do on them
Can you also have some mods on there that actually work?

a new board would be awesome - pop-ups are a pain in the arse, and i think a bit of light moderation would do wonders. that's my two cents anyway.

Hey all... thought I'd fill you in on a few more details about the board from a nerd perspective. The two major changes (for all you posters) would be that firstly, we own run and maintain the board ourselves that means any fuck ups and we don't have to go running to proboards (or whoever) and secondly we can have some moderators which will generally make your stay here a little more pleasant.
As far as features go I have been testing a heap of boards and have chosen one which gives us a lot of whiz-bang features (cos we here are all about the cool shit).
Oh, and we'd say bye bye to those annoying pop up ads!

yeah this board definately needs to go. there are so many better ones out there...the sparta board is really good (www.spartamusic.com). some new colours, no pop-ups and a better layout would really make this a much better place to come to.  |

get a grand new board! just don't delete this board without a mailout or something. i've got a bunch of PMs I would kinda like to save. addresses, record store names, band recommendations, etc...

not to mention all the old threads... some of which are worth saving more than others (ie all the ones ive started can be scrapped ;D) the pop ups have been annoying and getting a new bored would be okay but i relly like the colours here... like for awhile they gave me a headache but that was just the computer... the blues on daves (i set mine cos i hated the green) are okay but bright... i dont know... but about moderators... a moderator it okay but not nazi bloody mods... i know that 'the chosen' would be people like josha and michael and all the old school childes but seeing as theres a whole community here it could create issues... what i mean is wouldnt it be better if heath/craig etc did the modding rather than just hmj visitors?
but then i never really saw the anti-spam//mods thing as neccesary... shrug.

that does sound good...and it seems pretty futile to complain about lack of mods when mods cant really mod in this board anyway. im all for a brand-spankin' new board...some nice colours could do a lot for the atmosphere too. but make sure you dont completely delete this old thing...its full of memories...  |

yeah, but how do we know that you'll do anything about it. yous gave us the same spiel with the redline board and guess what.... pop-up here, pop-up there, pop-up over there... ;D
