All this talk sounds a lot like the responses I have heard after many a sleepy jackson gig, so maybe they to will be as big as the vines one day.

Everyones entitled to their own opinion, and yes i gotta agree that it was a pretty shocking effort from The Vines. Doesnt mean they suck though, i reckon that they just couldnt give a fuk about being on tv and being all glamouris for a television audience. They were just having a bit of fun It reminded me when Reef played on Hey Hey It's Saturday, they were meant to play some song, Darryl introduced them and then they played a different song, 'Your Old' pointing and laughing at Darryl while playing, then proceeded to trash the set. Fukn funny

Phew thought I was the only one! Foo's were great as always, but The Vines didn't even attempt to play their instruments well at all, either that or they simply cant play (strange). I dont care how drunk they are, I hope its not a case of a really well produced cd sound but a really shit live one. I expected alot more from all the hype!

...they rocked in Perth on Friday night, well impressed with the show, had seen them with You Am I previously and had thought they were quite crap live, glad they have got their shite together now and can rock out. A lot of energy and a great show. Sleepy Jackson yet again were fantastic

bottom line is this my friends: foo fighters on rove played their song perfectly the same as the cd will have it, as far as a live performance goes that is pretty average in my opinion i mean the essence of live shows is the random bits, the changing around of songs so it doesnt sound like a goddam CD he whole time. if u listen to the vines album u will appreciate the beauty of his melodies etc, i thought get free and evolved were awesome on get free he mixed up his vocals, through a otally different soloey bit into get free and yes fell about but fuck what do we want here, bands that r starchy and boring or exciting live acts. anyone who has seen white stripes live footage or anything will know what i mean abut the jerking around with vocals. the vines r refreshing and so was that little set

You eat steamy cock. Yes, live jams and changing of songs is cool and is always fun. But only if you could pull it off. The Vines weren't even tight and the random shit was just poorly executed. They were boring anyway, and to me his vocals were just a fucking cop out for being lazy.

they are only nirvana wannabes cause they are as bad as nirvana live ( In my opinion ) Id like to see where the "nirvana wannabes" comment was pulled from and whos arse you are licking not worth asking Oh please... They are obviously influenced by nirvana, which is not a bad thing on it's own, but when they don't sound original, that's when you call people "wannabes" Like Oasis < Beatles, 28 days < Limp Bizcut (even tho they both suck) but you get my point. Influence can be good, but it can't be all you've got, because then your just a cheap copy. Nirvana were original, they were doing that stuff back in 1987-1988, for a band to do that now and claim it as their own is pathetic.

Your not live Not_worth_asking - your a fucking cocksniffer and i couldnt care what you say..... they may be influenced by the vines but i cant really see any nirvana in there music, but then again what would i know im only a bass player.... all bands these days sound similar to another band, so thats were all the people who always want to bag a band get an easy stab at them and i also like the vines, so suck turd arsewipes

they may be influenced by the vines but i cant really see any nirvana in there music, Have you heard the album Bleach? The Vines have that era down pat amazingly well. But if you listen to the album you hear a far greater Beatles influence. Not Worth Asking: Nirvana weren't original, they ripped the Pixies off quite a bit.
