Just wondering what peolple think about this russian band Tatu and their song "All the things she said" I read in the new weekly mag that in their video clip they are engaging in a lesbian embrace and share a kiss video hits have edited several clips apparently. but they still manage to show Christina Aguilera spreading her legs in bikini bottoms and Holly Valance in barley no cloths at all. Were is the logic in that how come nude peolpe are ok but lesbians are a no no (they are not even real lesbians)

Back to the original topic. What is it the 50's all of a sudden? First we've got a wanker government that prefers the white picket fences and happy families of the 50s, now our anti-discrimination laws are being chucked out of the window.
I've seen the clip (I'm pretty sure it's the un edited version but I'm not sure - it was on [V]). It's harmless. Whats so offensive about seeing two people get it on, regardless of sexual orientation. On the bus yesterday I over-heard my neighbour (who is about 10-11) say, "I don't like lesbians" he also later on called his sister a "dirty arab" what's wrong with society today. Sure our nation is aging but that is no excuse for the changing opinions of the people. I don't blame my neighbour for his attitude, he's just a kid these opinions come from everywhere. Even my friends are disgusted with lesbians, I don't see why.

yeah ive seen the clip, theres really nothing controversial about it. i mean, any pop "sensation" with half a g-string can stage some pseudo-soft core porno with all the guys she wants on tv. but for some reason, 2 girls kissing is this big shocking deal? people should just deal with it. its just people being together after all, who cares whether they are guys or girls, ect.

If you are asking why parents dont stop their kids saying things like that, look back slightly further. They get it from their parents half the time. Especially when it comes to sexual orientation.
I have one friend too scared to tell her parents shes gay and another whos father went on a rampage upon finding out she was gay. Ppls tolerance seems to stop when its that close to home.

yes i must admit that the clip show nothing at all, apart from as nuce said a great shot of the camera up her skirt showing a wedgy, they didnt seem to edit that out did they, its no wonder young people who are still coming to terms with their sexuality are so scared to experiment to find out if they are gay or what ever they are when the majority of our society have a major problem with same sex couples . come on we do live in 2003 not 1940 . so all i can say if you want to do a video clips with tits and ass hanging out thats ok but dont show any lesbian or gay reference or some wanker will edit it so that young people who watch these music show cant see that there is complete other side to sexuality. come on get with the times people or you are going to miss out on meeting some really wicked people that are gay you never know you might even share a sexual experience, this does not mean that you are gay, just curious!!!!!!!!!!!!! we need to see more of this on tv so that kids from a young age can grow up with the idea that its ok to have feelings for someone who is the same sex as you

Especially when it comes to sexual orientation. agreed. you'd think with each generation that passes [and all the discrimination concerning homosexuals, and atrocities ie: matthew shepard's death, etc] that homophobia would eventually die out, but it's just as strong as ever. i don't think there's ever going to be a time when the entire world sees it as the 'norm' - not to have an attack on religion but they do push the issue when it comes to saying homosexuals are evil, dirty, sinful etc. and christians, catholics etc*. make up for a mammoth percent of the population * not too sure which certain religions have which certain beliefs on top of that is the redneck element and i do think a lot of kids get it from their parents... my uncle is absolutely 101% against it, and his two sons have taken on that belief as well, maybe not completely because of their dad, but i bet his views had a hell of a lot to do with it.

Yeh, the song gets in your head and never gets out. Fun to sing to helium though. If i think you guys are talking about the clip they play on tv, then it isn't really that bad, its more a tactic to involve young males. I'm thinking was a popular song at the mardi gras on the weekend..

i think it was more so that they were so young when they were marketed as being gay, and that it seems like a marketing ploy rather than actually showing of their talent(if there is any)
