5,6,7 deserve to be there. The rest can eat my manhood and love it.
Is it only Australian albums? If not, where the fuck is A Rush of Blood to the Head - that album is brilliant.

*cough*
i write for rockus.
so naturally, i disagree with you when you say the site is shit.
i also disagree with the generalisation that all the reviewers are shit. my writing is nothing great at all, but there are some very good writers there (and also some shit writers, but we won't name names). we don't all make blind references to previously existing bands, i.e. radiohead. not all of us are that insipid.
that poll is based on what viewers of the site liked to listen to...and i'll be the first to say that yes, it is indeed a shit top 10. very mainstream and bland indeed. but it is not a reflection of rockus' opinions. you guys on this board, of all people, should know that there are stupid people on the internet. so why let some people's bad taste bother you?
yes, better releases could have been picked. but this year has been a rather shit year for australian releases, so what do you expect? i don't think i could even pick a top 5, let alone a top 10.

if i was to list my top 5 aus release for the year it'd go like this
5.Heartfeltself - My heart will never forget how to feel I'll dream this real myself and adrift I'll never dream my heart will never forget to feel I'll... 4.Heartfeltself - My heart will never forget how to feel I'll dream this real myself and adrift I'll never dream my heart will never forget to feel I'll... 3.Heartfeltself - My heart will never forget how to feel I'll dream this real myself and adrift I'll never dream my heart will never forget to feel I'll... 2. Love Like...Electrocution - Red Hot 1. Heartfeltself - My heart will never forget how to feel I'll dream this real myself and adrift I'll never dream my heart will never forget to feel I'll...

you should share my pain alex ive seen you on the fourth floor collapse messagte board you have?? crazy. i haven't been there for ages...you old-school ffc fan you! i can't think of many australian releases i liked this year.. but these two would be up there with the best of them.. 1. the tigers: "the christmas album" 2. rumanastone: "by design" buy them. particularly anything by the tigers...they are brilliant.
