The 'Last CD You Bought' thread has died and this is a relief to a few members, however I do think it wasn't completely useless. The thread gave people an insight into what others are getting and liking and it was also a good way of opening people up to new bands or releases that some people may not have heard of. Paintbrushes saw it as people boasting about how cool they are and how good their music taste is. Although mabe some people did do that for me it was a way of checking out whats new and then what others like. Several members hear are at war with teeny boppers but to get people to like or at least consider other views and bands first they must know of them. So this is wear people can recomend stuff, coment about it and stuff. However these views don't necessarily have to be taken.

nah, i'm with TLCM on this one. i always liked that thread, because it did expose me to new bands/releases that i might not have stumbled across otherwise... you guys claim to have started the "free speech revolution" and yet everyone else who voices an opinion is shut down...fuck that, i'm sick of people not being able to speak without being called a cunt. sure it's just an internet forum, and a lot of people say stupid things. but really...hearing the same people saying the same things all the time gets old really quick. i'm not proposing a 'let's all love each other and be friends' plan, because that's just stupid, but even more stupid is all this sniping. and yet i still come back here every few days...  |
