jerks of attention
it represents the whole concept and feeling of the band. where they were at in 1996, the song kind of gave them the leg up with jjj giving it high rotation, opening up spots for them to tour and such. and it was their first video.
it encapsulates this feeling of this unique australian rock band, who have their own unprecedented sound, which is exciting, and new and special.
its my favourite jebediah song, and that version of it. Its very raw, kind of feels like a live recording, the album version sounds a bit too produced, and slow. i know that was the way they originally intended the song to be when they wrote it, but the single version is just too good. however i liek kevs breakdown bit in the album version

getting back to the video i love the imagry of it. the girl in the fish tank, the band playing in this small room, away from everyone else, with light bulbs hanging from the roof, kevs red hair and cool blue tshirt (what does it actually say? im thinking of starting my own post on this! is is "Elin is a trucker"?)
i think they have made some really cool videos, harpoon is beautiful, as is star machine live. black and white seems to work, brings out the emotion, and dynmaics of the band, also highlights the shadows through the lighting, but i wont go into that.
please levae really suited the song too, the super 8, sped up footage, as kev said, its kind of low budget but then again its a low budget sounding song so
i might have just been talking crap, so sorry, i just really like jerks of attention, the song and the video.

i have 3 *Nothing Lasts Forever - again a simple story line, but all comes together, people say its boring, but i think its better being boring then being good hm i didn't find it boring, the photography was cool... goes well with the song |
