On the weekend myself, aaron, nads and sam went to melbourne to see a couple of shows by Fourth Floor, an acoustic on saturday and a full band show on sunday, and they were both amazing.
The vocals have improved a shitload since i last seen them, in 2001 and the new songs were just fucking brilliant
if ya get a chance go see them

i'm not digging the new fourth floor stuff as much.
they seem to have lost a lot of their previous intensity and darkness. i don't want them to turn into a sunshine-and-lollypops band. i want more of michael's screaming and chest-beating, god damn it.

i dunno, im loving the new stuff..to me its not so much sunshine and lollypops, it's just really uplifting nice stuff..im gonna go out on a limb and say its better than half deserted streets..from what ive heard. and not dark?! what about 'let me drown'!?

Can't wait for the album to come out!!
Hopefully it will get the due attention that it fully deserves.
Let's face it, the stuff they come out with and the emotion they have at gigs beats the crap over half the stuff that comes out of JJJ....

JJJ has already changed a fair bit since Kingsmill took over.
In other news, i was talking to Callum last night (FFC ex manager) our beloved Barney, FFC bass player, has quit the band to play full time with Little Birdy. Sad news huh??>.....
So if you caught their gig on Fri night here in Perth, it was Barney's last.

i need to do some investigating.
TLCM - he's an OK guy, he's just really full of himself, and a bit pretentious. not bad, but he rubs a lot of people up the wrong way here in perth.

hehe, the whole 'rubbing people up the wrong way' thing is a definate good thing..there's certainly a couple of people around here who need it. *mutters* fuckin' perth.
but i don't know..there's something about him i don't entirely like. heh.
