78's usually have a copy of each of the death cab for cutie albums instore...so they're quite easy to get ahold of. my favourite is "something about airplanes", which is their first full length release, and the artwork is simply beautiful.
however, if you want to hear some DCFC before the SFK shows, i'd reccommend you get "the photo album", as it's more indicative of what they'll probably play...
DCFC albums - something about airplanes - we have the facts and we're voting yes +3 - the photo album
and the new album "transatlanticism" comes out in october! hazzah!

i'm hoping to get into the fly by show, in my limited experience they've been pretty relaxed about ID there.

yeah
"you can play these songs with chords" came out last year. its a re-release of the very first death cab recording, a 8 song cassette demo, which ben played all instruments and sung and chris recorded. most of the songs were re-recorded for "something about aeorplanes" bar a few (hindsight, thats incentive and two cars). the cd also has another 12 rare and unreleased mixes of tracks. its very very good!
they usually play a good mix of old and new. there setlists are pretty unpredictable but like apple has said id get the photo album cause they will play a number from that cd i imagine.
cannot wait for transatlanticism, from what ive read apparantly its amazing (not hard to beleive considering there releases so far)
cannot wait to see them live also, its gonna be brilliant

i went with the photo album and it's pretty good.
however, i'm so excited about sfk i can barely sit still. paul's been throwing a couple of solo/acoustic songs into the sets over east - if he pulled strategy on us i'd probably keel over and hit the floor.

me too
i hung around after to meet them, had a chat and much to my surprise got invited to the tour afterparty (adelaide last show of the tour). i played two games of pool with ben gibbard. it was the most surreal experience, hes an idol of mine and i was actaully conversing with him face to face about important and not so important things. such as the postal service, the weather, australia, canada (to which he broke out with a few lines of the degrassi junior high theme song, to the applause of me and others. we suggested a zit remedy cover and he laughed)
i still cant beleive it. they were amazing as i predicted. ben assured me "we'll be back" several times during the morning.
i wish i had my camera. i hate regrets and this is a big one. i was the guy who took the group photo sfk, death cab and the crew. so i can say that i spose. still isn't the same.

New Kids on the Block is my favourite band of 90s. They had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'Tonight', 'Baby, I Believe In You' and, of course their hit 'Step By Step'. These are real songs, not fake like today! And it is awesome NKOTB have a tour in 2019! And I'm going to attend New Kids on the Block concert this year. The concert setlist is here: New Kids on the Block tour. Open the page and maybe we can even visit one of the concerts together!
