The worst band/s i've seen live would have to have been at an uni o-nite last year. There was some band named Ungkas, which were shit, palladium which were shit and You am I which were shit. Bit surprised with You am I but since it was an o-nite I guessed they couldn't be fucked

The Hard Ons - supporting the foos @ the Hordern. My ears didn't deserve that 'noise'. really dave, shut up , as far as live bands go the hard ons fucking own! the vines are the worst live band i've seen, theyre worse than even any local bands ive seenm even if they do 'go sick' it is so pretentious and fucking forced in its delivery it just makes me wanna spew. |

The Vines at Perth BDO this year - I stayed for a few songs, but it really was painful to watch / hear them. It's not that I don't like them, I bought Highly Evolved and even listen to it on occasions, but it's true, they really do suck live. Other than that, probably Bordello when they played a youth festival a year or two ago down in Freo. They had plenty of energy, and I guess you have to give them credit for that, but overall it was pretty uninspiring and cringe-worthy.  |

Agree with The Vines being shit live BDO 03 Perth
I wasn't there but my GF said Smashing Pumpkins on their Adore tour in Melbourne '98 was pretty shit.
Ummmm *scratches cranium* theres a fair few local bands that i've seen that think the louder they are and the louder they shout means good music.

Ooh ooh and i gotta say that *you'll hate me dave* but the one time i saw 28 Days, they were rather crapola.
I have seen them play well also, in their and daves defence.

You am I have been absolute crap the three times that I have been unfortunate enough to see them  - also everyone I know that has seen them has had the same opinion (a pitty coz i don't mind their recorded stuff but it has put me off them) Magic Dirt - sometimes are really really bad but then on other occasions can be quite good. Just have to try your luck really. Lash - On the Living End / Area 7 tour were absolutely terrible (and I can't stress that enough) but to their credit had improved greatly by the motor ace tour a few months later. On the other hand Screaming Jets are always excellent! And Jebs. Reel Big Fish were good and John Buttler Trio at Livid were amazing! |
