Act 1:
intro - across the night instrumental music
*After all these years - daniel on keyboard + vocals
*World upon your shoulders - electric
*Tuna in the brine - acoustic - almost brought me to tears, it means so much to me this song. (i learnt how to play it at last!!! from watching dan!!!!!!!!!!! it's so much fun to play, i was late to uni from playing it over and over.....)
*Luv your Life - acoustic
*Paint pastel princess - electric (almost ran into - )
*Petrol and Chlorine - electric - UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! it sounded like it belonged on Diorama.....
*Across the night - acoustic, no guitar for the end bit, daniel singing with arm actions.
*Ana's song - electric - soft start, wih daniel doing a really cool sliding effect on his guitar in the extended intro, then the second part was heavy Surprised me how good this song was live, one of the top 5 of the night!!!!
*Miss you love - electric - bit of an extended bit near the end.
*Steam will rise - electric "your gonna fucking love this song" dan went crazy in the middle jam bit, which lasted like 5 mins
Act 2:
*Emotion Sickness - with an extended end bit again, before the very last bit.
*Without you
*ISRAEL'S SON! - chris started playing the bass line so softly straight after the last chord of without you, and the place went NUTS!!!! first song to get ppl standing up.
*Black Tangled heart - ppl sat down
*Do you feel the same
*Greatest view - "this is everyone's favorite song" got ppl standing again
*Door - fuck this song rocks live!!!!! big country-ish bluesy jam in the middle, looked like they were going to tease a song for a bit, but no.
*Freak - mix of high and low singing, very good.
*Anthem - with three screens of anti war messages on in the background, and we got to sing the first verse. i loved the (bush) "i say jump" (howard) "i say how high?"
*One way mule - fucking AWESOME!!!!! and ppl sat down!!!!!!! i hated this crowd...... i was standing....they put a jam in the middle as well, very cool.
Encore - (not that we deserved one)
*Asylum - Dan on keys + vocals. what can i say *sigh* ppl sat down tho....
*LEVER - "this song is sooooo long" - and it was, and it rocked!!!! and ppl sat down again! well not me, i couldn't. Until half way thru daniel yelled "Everyone get the FUCK UP!" and so they did, but, grrrrrr, like you have to be told......
Well yeah silverchair were fucking awesome, apart from 3 singing mistakes, one guitar chord mistake and one drum mistake they played almost perfectly for the whole show, which for 22 songs is unbelievable.
only difference to the show the night before was Israel's Son instead of Slave. i didn't mind.
But the let down was the audience, so not into it, so pathetic, it made me mad.... but it didn't take away from the night, it was AWESOME!!!!!

*asylum - better than sunday, ppl were sitting
*lever - awesome end to a show, ppl standing again which was good. with the long jam, god that rocked!
Much better crowd than Sunday, i think the band played better as well. But i prefer the palais as a venue, it sounded better at the palais, and was more comfortable / easier to see, better atmosphere etc.
