saw them last night @ Belvoir amphitheatre (Perth) and it was raining, lightning going crazy the whole time, thunder, all that stuff that happens when there's a storm and IT FUCKING ROCKED! they didn't do the show the way they did all the other ones - because it was raining - (i think...) so they just mixed up all the new and old and in between and it was good and i'm a very happy girl indeed...
did anyone else here go??? if so... what did you think.

yeah that sucks... there was a shitty little article in the west australian the other day that said something along the lines of 'he prefers recording' ..... No you bastard!! don't do it! they'll have a lot of angry fans if that is the case... at least i got to see 'em...

yeah he's probably in a position where he can afford to do it too. i might get my arse kicked for saying this, but it [giving up performing] seems quite self-indulgent - i mean, what about ben and chris? they are a band after all, regardless of how much daniel steers the ship. and live shows are such a massive part of the whole music experience too. still, i guess if you don't want to do something and you don't 'have' to do it either, why would you?
you're right in the fact that there will be a motherload of angry fans if this does indeed happen.

Does he still have that goatee? It does nothing for him, destroys the whole grungy image.
There is a new juice?

the goatee's better than that growth that's permanently attached itself to his arm.
juice's publisher went bust, they got a new one and the first issue went onsale today. it's got silverchair on the cover and a bit of this that and the other... it's $5.95 which is still expensive, but better than most music mags.

i went to the first brisbane concert. An amazing experience!!!! i've seen them twice before at festivals but this one was by far the best damn performance i've ever seen. ours was inside a convention centre, reasonably small, and the atmosphere was unbelievable. i've been playing violin for 12yrs now so i really enjoyed the orchestra, sent shivers down my spine! ;D (pitty it was taped, would have loved the orchestra to be there) i'm upset to here what you guys said about daniel 'prefering to record'. he waited so long to tour cause of the arthritis and now he says that shit!! i love watching band members on stage. they always look so happy, like they couldn't think another place they'd rather be. Daniel looked so happy, but ben and chris couldn't stop smiling. its not fair to do that to the other two. well, i had a great night. would have gone back for the second night if i had the money. the only downside was this bimbo sitting next to me. she screamed histerically all night. "daniel, i love you daniel!!! oh my god! daniel!" consequently we moved cause she nearly hyperventilated and we couldn't hear properly!!

fuck. lets all go complain because someone wants to do what makes them happy, not something that makes them uncomfortable.

fuck. lets all go complain because someone wants to do what makes them happy, not something that makes them uncomfortable. exactly, he's allowed to think of himself before the fans once in a while. anyway i went on saturday and it was fucking amazing, the rain was a lil disapointing, mainly coz the set was cut short but they still played brilliantly. i can't believe how awesome they are, and i can't beleive the weather, i've never seen anything like it in perth!!

it wasn't cut that short was it? i thought it was cos they scrapped the whole 'two sections' thing and just kept playing... 2 whole hours;D
bimbos... yeah... there was a whole group of them somewhere to the left and behind me yelling 'we love you daniel', another group somewhere to the right yelling 'we love you chris' and just as i was getting frustrated someone yelled 'go ben' and made me laugh... poor ben. the bimbos neglect him.... (then again, maybe 'lucky ben'... it depends on which way you look at it.)
*violin ;D i play violin.

the set lists were different on friday and saturday nights but in terms of numbers there were 4 less songs than friday night. on friday they played black tangled heart, asylum, the lever & israel's son...
