who thinks australian music kicks ass, no i don't just mean kicks, i mean MAJORLY BOOTS, compared to us, american and british 'music' (if you could call it that} is turd. i don't mean to be rascist, but, for real, australian punk is just soooooooooooooooooo good compared to foreign music.

when it comes to punk - australia is pretty shit..... frenzal rhomb, of anaesthesia, no good
when it comes to rawk bands, well i think that there is a lot nicer sounding bands in the states and brit. - oasis, foos, sonic youth, mogwai
But australia definatly beats all other countries with the pop-rawk circuit - jebediah, fergs, new grinspoon

i'm a huge fan of Australian music. mostly Aus. rock though cause some of our pop is shit. its embarrassing to admit that they're australian. i do like some stuff from overseas though! what shits me the most is how we are so influenced by the international market. Like we can't make our own decisions! Kylie had to go overseas and although i'm not a huge fan of her music, i think its pathetic that we didn't want her until the rest of the world did. another thing that i think is funny is how that Nora Jones (i think thats her name) has gone so well here just cause of the grammies. i actually like her song but you can't tell me she would have made our charts if america didn't go ape over her!  |

COS SILVERCHAIR FUCKING SUCKi think you can say that some aus music is better than some overseas music but saying all music is better than other music is not only stupid but means you don't listen to your radio enough. |

I love Aussie Music - Jebediah, You Am I, Magic Dirt, Something For Kate, Big Heavy Stuff, Bluebottle Kiss, Blueline Medic, Eskimo Joe, Fergusons, Gyroscope, Adam Said Galore, Team Jedi, The Tigers, Powderfinger, Speedstar, Sodastream, Pacifier. Red Jezebel, The Panics and Fourth Floor Collapse. i think its really important to support them by going to gigs and buying Merch and dont forget to support Redline Records  |
