Chuck a sick day if no-one can fill your shift.. My boss tried to make me work Rock-It last year so that's what I did. She didn't even care because she knew I'd go anyway. ;D

Homebake rocked, the whole way there it rained but as soon as we joined the line to get in the rain disapeared and didn't come back. The first band that we saw was Lash, I don't really like Lash but they weren't as bad as I thought they would be. We were going to see Speedstar second but we got distracted and missed their entire set. I made sure that we didn't miss Big Heavy Stuff and I'm glad that we didn't, they were excellent, whoever said that they were great live was right. We went for a walk after their set and came back to see Eskimo Joe but there was heaps of people and our spot had been taken so I watched their set through a hole in the backstage fence that was about the size of a 20 cent piece but the music was really good. We then set off to catch the rest of the Super Jesus set which was also really good. After that we went to the signing tent to get some autographs from George and Eskimo Joe. We got an excellent group photo of George and tried to get one of Eskimo Joe, but only Stu remained behind for it. A girl got her stuff signed but as she was leaving she tripped over, I'm glad I wasn't her. We caught the end of 28 Days but didn't go into the mosh as soon as they finished we went in and got a really good spot for Something For Kate which was really good. George was next and it was sounding terrific, Katie Noonan has the most beautiful voice but someone had to got to the toilet so we missed the rest of the set. We were going to see You Am I but we ended up in a massive toilet line but we could still hear them, then we went over for John Butler Trio autographs but the line was huge so we just pushed in. We saw Kasey Chambers but even though I hate country music she got me dancing. John Butler Trio was the last band and they were the highlight of the night, I didn't see them even though I was close to the front because I was surrounded by heaps of tall people but some of them were really nice and moved so I could get a glimpse of them every now and then. I had never see a band live before then but I can't wait for the Big Day Out now and I'm definately going again next year. My mum got pissed at her Christmas party and vomited on the way home which made the car stink but other than that I had heaps of fun.
