ps. can i just say thank fuck we're not getting the east-coast treatment [ie. security clearing everyone out of the D-barrier halfway through the night, to let "other people have a chance to be up close."] i think that blows - if you want to see a band so bad that you'll wait 6 hours in the stinking hot sun for them, then you shouldn't have to be carted off at the last minute.

the big day out sucks ass. well the year i went it did, i saw marilyn manson (crap) hole (crap) korn (crap) .
the aussie bands are the only good bit (though if i had made it to see fun lovin crims id probably say differently).

and being a small town gal the crowds shell shocked me. in darwin a mosh pit is as spacey as a sexual encounter with josh's mum ;D

I can't see how that's going to make it any safer. If you want to get their early and wait (in the sun) for your fave band to play, you shouldn't have to move half way through the day. the only thing i can see happening is that SOME new people will get a turn at the front, but on the way there's going to be a shitload of pushing and shoving, and people gettting hurt which is what their trying to avoid isn't it?
