there is a rather well sourced rumour that states that jebs are playing tonight at amplifier under the nae 'the regulators' i believe. so if anyone else is planning on heading down to the showbag cd launch tonight, be early, they are up first

x-press made the showbag launch their live review of the week, if anyone missed it... Now that the pressure is off, openers Jebediah (aka The Regulars) have gone back to writing the kind of happy Weezer-style pop tunes they started off with, only a lot more developed and 'adult', and it is a return to form far beyond expectation. Their set, showcasing all new songs, was as much about fun as it was about dress-rehearsal, and the new material highlights the strength of songwriting capabilities the band has now that they are all grown up. The usual visually entertaining live show was delivered without relent, and once again the kids on the wings (Chris Daymond, and Vanessa Thornton respectively) solidified their reputation as two of Australia's best show(wo)men. I agree with you views on Vic, Josh. The other week, Carlo was appearing at the Cruz in Mornington. For many, it was the highlight of the year.....
