Ahh high school history, so simplistic....Those were the days. An interesting little fact about Versailles, a young oriental man by the name of Ho Chi Minh arrived to present claims of independence for a far off country called Vietnam. Naturally, he was refused entry. I found it rather amusing that the russians took to an idea originated by a german, yet the two countries were bitter enemies for centuries I'm sorry TLCm but you as dictator? hah! I might be graceous enough and grant yoy viceroy status in one of my protectorates but thats about it. The plans are already in place, events are shaping to my liking. New Zealand will become the 7th state, New Guinea will once again become an Australian Mandate followed by the solomons. Ahh yes

I am so much better than you. Where have you promissed to get rid of John Howard. I would prevent racism, I'd allow refugees. As the western nations produce excess food, especially meat I would send more over to the struggleing third world countries. Some countries spend billions or millions of dollars a year to these governments each year, however this adds to their debts and the funds are poorly managed. By giving the people food and water and medication they are more satisfied, this way the rainforests wouldn't be destroued for farmlands and the suffering would be marginalised, it would also leave room for the countries to pay off the debt. I would also rule out feedlots or factory farming and at least make the battery hens cages larger if not remove the practice altogether to replace it with free range farming. There would be an increased tax on logging with the extermination of logging of old growth trees. How would adding Papua New Guinea add to our economy? If New Zealand becomes the 7th state I'd tax them on their sheep who emit heaps of methan into the ozone with their burps and farts. I'd also sign the Kyoto Protocol, I'd even go for reconciliation. Oh, and Bossman if you don't comply I will send you to a life time of reading Heinemanns posts. By the way, Indochina is also studied in High School History, I was reading the background the other day. My class is behind I think.

anyway, im going for supreme chancellor. you're never gonna win. me - im gonna win the popular vote. LOL. yeah. right.
that didnt really make sense.
i think we should go for a brave new world set up - keep the country drugged up on soma so that they cant attempt to oerthrow the government and they basicallty except everything you do.
maybe ill make heroin the national drug and charge no tax just make money from selling heroin to the people...
either way im going to destroy lives.
and continue making no sense.
my favourite fact about versailles is that... um... i really don't have one, what a surprise.`

No, anouther party will not work, all other parties are illegal as of now. Heinamann, face it you will not win by popular rule, so far no one has complained about my leadership except you and Bossman, and that is only because you want to take power. If either of you try anything I'll send you to walk the desert to die of dehydration and think about your actions. This is a happy society, we don't need you and your Heroin conspiracy.

Ahh TLCM, so innocent, so naive. Why would you want to help other countries, wheres the fun in that? In the words of Regurgitator, we will 'crush the losers' To borrow a term derived from the japanese, I will create a 'Greater Australiana co-prosperity sphere' ie Australia is in charge. The police and defence forces will be disbanded and a new service, the Protectors will arise to take there place. By the time I'm in power, George Dubbya the 3rd will be sucking up to us. I offer you all a chance to join me, its for your own good.

Ok Bossman, I don't intend to be dictator forever, you can succeed me. I'm no power hungry Stalinist or meglomaniac Nazi or anything like that. Once I have developed a better Australia and get sick of ruling (I 'm not easily motivated and get sick of stuff after a while) you can take over. This will also give you time to plan everything and decide on stuff and depending on how old you are finish uni, if you haven't already.

Are you talking about the Bolsheviks being influenced by Marx and Engels? This was based on ideology, not nationality. Trotsky believed in world wide revolution and that all workers were equal throughout the world in their struggle against their bourgeousie (I think I spelt it wrong) oppressors. This is also why the communist parties throughout Europe wanted out in the First World War, they thought it was a strategy implemented by the rich bastards to control the workers.
It was mainly the Stalinists and more 'right' Communists such as Bukharin and a particular Commisaar for Foreign Affairs (I forgot his name and can't find my text book) that supported and enforced the concept of Communism in One Country.
At one stage, prior to WWII the Communists hoped the German communists would rise up and join them, however they knew there was no chance by 1933 when Hitler became chancelor.
For countries and Empires in particular there could be disturbances and hatreds despite family links mainly due to land. People are greedy and countries occasionally threaten or invade each other creating animosity that may last for centuries.

the communists in germnay were..oppressed..suppressed even before hitler came near power... mostly it was their own fault that they didnt get anywehre. the socialists and the communists were arguing and bickering all the time and that stopped them from having a proper voice because they just came off as unorganised. they never really (in like 1920s- ) posed much of a threat.

True. I believe Trotsky blamed the Comintern and the lack of international focus by the Russians for the lack of success. But like anyone, Trotsky would blame everyone else, he would never accept that continuous revolution would not work. Following the triumph of the red army in the civil war Russia attempted to invade Poland and make them part of the USSR, but they failed. They also failed in China.

My comment still stands, the germans and russians hated each other for centuries. It goes back to the Teutonic knights. Why do you think they fought with such ferocity in the first and second world wars (ok, hitler enforced the belief that the slav was subhuman so that partially accounts for WW2). TLCM, I think yur refering to Molotov, he was the foreign minister for Stalin. It amuses me that there are still people out there who believe that Communism would be the ideal form of government.
