So JEW and moneen FUCKING ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I seriously had an amazing time. So much fun.

I saw JEW do the EDGE radio thang. Interview sucked ass. Dave bookman was the reason. Ew.  He said this though: "So you guys did a split with a band called jebediah, is that the australian jebediah? Yeah, they're great guys, they spent a lot of time here in canada..."  Does he really know you? He's a very scary man.  SURE he sounds cool and normal on the radio but actually SEEing him freaks me RIGHT out. I wanted to run.

Jim and Tom were the only boys at the interview, they played the middle, and then signed stuff, photos, chatted, etc. There were ~30 people in the studio.  Tom is so nice (and cute!).

I gave them a little note I wrote that told of Heath's "hello, come down here, Zach:up ya bum". and how i loved them and wanted them to play all of the clarity songs, and how I wanted to buy them beer after the show.

So Heath, Tom and Jim know you love them and miss you dearly. Tom thought the up ya bum thing was funny. Yeah, I just don't want to know. If you're into that sort of thing that's FINE I just don't wanna know about it!!
They asked what you guys were up to, so I told of your wonderful new single, new album, tours, etc..  They haven't heard fall down, apparently, but tom was excited about the bagpipe parts.

Tom said that they should be in australia in march. That's right, March. Jim was like "I think maybe february??" Then I informed him he had shows booked solid for february. So I guess no plans have been made yet, but they're gonna come. AND they said they were coming back to canada in april. MY GOD do they ever stop touring?

Moneen played a song that I don't know first. They are CRAZY!!!!!  Kenny didn't smash shit up, but he was hilarious. He is soooo funny. going off on mad tangents all the time.  I would love to hang out with kenny all of the time. It seems like there would never be a dull moment.  While the band was just going mad he ran off backstage and came back a minute later wearing a shiny blue spandex outfit. It was one of those weight lifting type deals. If my pictures turn out I'll post them! I swear they only played like 7 songs. But it still rocked.  Kenny said that he can now die. That it was his dream to open for JEW. I'm totally coming back to toronto to see them again next friday.  That is if the weather is good. Grrrr to snow!! My parents will give me their car. They love me.

JEW were sooooooo fun. My friend matt checked out the setlist and told us that 'table for glasses' was first!! But then they came out and said "hey toronto! this is bleed american!". But they did play table for glasses much later. They did SO many songs. They did a lot from static and clarity.  It made me love static prevails sooooo much more. even some of the songs from bleed american that I didn't like so much before I totally am in love with right now. But maybe that's because they were playing them just 3 hours ago.  

When Jim said they were going to do a song from the JEW/Jebediah split people cheered! Hurrah! It's so exciting.  Perhaps just because they all love the JEW songs on the split, but I like to think it's because other people love Jebediah too.  Seriously though, so many people that have NOT been influenced by *ME* know who jebediah are. It's crazy! Ah!

The crowd was pretty good. Except for the group of girls who thought it was HILARIOUS when they continuously screamed out "PENIS"!!! and the 3 guys who thought it was necessary to crowd surf. One guy even hit Jim's mic stand, and boy! did that ever piss him off.

THIS.. is what sucks though.... JEW did NOT do an encore!!! I don't know why! They weren't mad at us, they were having fun, it was cool, hurrah! But no encore. The crowd didn't do much to bring them back though. A few people were screaming and clapping for a while, chanting, etc... but they did no encore. It made me sad.  
I have never sang so hard or screamed so much at a show. For having 3 hours of sleep in the last 40 hours I had an unusual amount of energy!

Then I saw kenny coming from the crowd, apparently in a hurry, but I managed to get his attention and did my incredibly cool "OH MY GOD YOU ROCK!!" gesture.  I talked with kenny later and told him Heath and Jebs say hi.  He thought that was awefully nice, and inquired as to how I knew you guys.  Of course I told him I was an insane stalker of Jebediah.

Heath: Kenny said you must think he's a loser. Apparently you two have not remained in contact. You should find time to email kenny, your good friend.  I bet he goes to bed every night wondering why you never call or email him. And I bet he cries too.  

I think that's about all I have to say right now. I'm so incredibly happy and relaxed.  And tomorrow I don't have to get up EVER!!! And when I do I only have to do an assignment, clean my room, pack and then get DRUNK! Oh, thank god exams are over with.

next time yew go on a little JEW adventure, make sure yew tell them to goto perth when they come here cause if they come in feb/march, ill most probably be over there and if they just do an east coast tour ill be pissed off cause i was about a month too young to see them last time.

on the encore thing >> alot of bands dont like them cause they feel like wankers and also cause alot of bands now have a fixed setlist and really only know what they play every night, so maybe thats why they didnt do one? im not a member of JEW though. hehe.

I won't be able to post pictures until january 4thish. I am going home away from the land of internet goodness. I'm planning on developing them on tuesday though.
The Edge pics will be very good, but the pictures from the show might not turn out so good! I took them in the usual "oh my god this concert rocks" style... with my the camera above heads in the crowd.
My friend Po met JEW with me, and he was acting like a little girl groupie. It was awesome. We have a picture of us together with tom sitting on the stairs at the edge. (dirty stairs at that.. you'd think they'd sweep them... hrmm..)

JEW was pretty damn sweet on wednesday.

not as sweet as they were in december when moneen played with them... but they were good.  This show was at the warehouse with maybe.. 5,000 people? Yeah, sold out too. Crazy. Too many little kids. sigh. I'm old.  FUCKING CROWDSURFERS!!!! I haven't seen so many since i was at the outdoor edgefest festival like two years ago. Didn't crowdsurfing go out a long time ago?? Dear god.  On kid had a bleeding foot print on his face. That was hot. My friend po, who is about 5'4" went at one surfer. i thought i'd never see him again. He's okay guys, dont worry.

SO last time i met Jim and Tom.  This time I met Zach and Rick. I am 22 and a groupie. It rocks.

I asked Zach if Tom remembered to give him the 'note' that had the "up ya bum" message Heath wanted him to get so very badly (durrrtyyy...) and he said NO!!!  Tom is a little fucker. Who i love dearly.  So Heath, I told zach you wanted to give it to him up the bum. He giggled like a school girl and began to blush.  Umm... i didn't ask when they were coming to australia cos i was too caught up in the moment... but Heath, Zach told me that you're a wicked guy. I don't know, I've heard you're a dick, but APPARENTLY he likes dicks (up ya bum!!).  I'm kidding I'm kidding, don't kill me.  uhh. yeah so anyways....  Zach rocks, man. He's way cool. I have photos from the edge (radio station) again, I'll have them prepared in perhaps a weekish. I only took a few pictures at the actual show because of all the stupid fucking crowdsurfers. (DIE!!!)

At the edge Zach told us the basic setlist. One dude was like "GUY, are you gonna play something from the split??!" and then i'm like "*ieeieieieee* You know jebediah, don't yoU!?! you do. i love you. have my babies!!!" Okay i didn't say that, but he liked jebediah, and that's what counts. They did no sensitivity, of course.  

I knew like 30 people at the show. It was awesome. Boys from this boy "band" called wave (they're canadian) were there. hehe.. they're short and funny.

Thursday brings hardcore rocking, my friends. I'm going to buy lots of moneen lollipops and stickers.
I have to drive OUT of toronto for this show. I'm stealing a car though, so it's alllllll good. I'm so excited I'm so excited. Then they drive all over the freakin' continent..... so keep an eye out if you're in canada or the states. they're playing with good ol' chronicbreaker in kenora. oh kenora, where the natives steal gasoline from your boats to sniff.... sigh........
