Haveing a thing on Sesame Street to help kids cope with terrorism is not a good idea and can't be linked with the aids thing. Aids is killing a whole geration of people in South Aftrica (I know people from South Africa and they told me about how they received this infomation pack once to encourage people to use protection only problem was the condoms were stapled to the pack) however terrorism isn't killing a whole generation. The death of anyone is going to hurt. Sure a shitload of people died in the 11 September attacks but do you really think the people intended to kill that many people, they most likely only meant to fly some planes into some building which yes is horrific in it's self but I doubt they meant to knock down the two towers.

Because the U.S government has such tough censoring laws Sesame Street would be making everything seem bad and if they had someone/something representing Middle Eastern decent they may make them out to seem bad as if they [the child] were a bad thing some how. Also broadcasting that sort of thing on a childrens program would have to have a negative effect. People are beggining to become stupid as it is with the stupid terrorism packs that they sent out with OUR money. What are they supposed to do other than present racial histeria?

Also I'm not all up on the parents educating there kids either. How many parents merely lap up the crap off the news, they don't know other wise so they themselves are being poisoned by the media. THey will simply create more fear in their families, children are meant to be innocent not looking suspiciously at any person sitting in a car or a tree, scared that they are going to get blown up.

There should be something so that people can learn about other peoples cultures and religions so that they aren't going to be ignorant or racsist toward them. However how is this possible when we have such a racsist, white washed government that won't even consider the aboriginals of Australia. This isn't going to combat terrorism which apears to have taken a backseat in Australias and the U.S's agenda anyway but it will make Australians more sulturally aware.

Apparently [I'm not sure how correct I am here] the National museum in Canberra has [had] an aboriginal exhibition recently that dealt with the masacres and stolen generation and possibly just the whole European take over of Australia. Surely every fuckwit knows that the colonists attitude to the 'blacks' was violent and racsist. When Govenor Philip landed he instructed the people in his care not to hurt the aborigines (although they did unintentionally give them diseases) however how long did it take before the 'whites' took to the land and fought the aborigines for their land ( there were not permenant structures or dwellings or farms so obviously they had no hold on the land). If an aborigine killed a settler he was killed however the aborigines were hardly considered men so these farmers could shoot as many aboriginals as they wanted. Sure there were some punishment but most of it was overlooked. These poor natives were massacred either by diseased blankets, muskets or other forms. This exhibition hasn't done anything wrong however the Government want s the curator removed. Our government turns a blind eye to this, their own country men. How are they supposed to present a middle eastern person without some form of negative conotation?

* I realise that got a little off topic but all it's generally saying is that any person of Middle Eastern decent isn't going to go down well with our current society and even some parents are naive towards the situation and may scar the fuck out of their kids.

I know the Terrorists wanted to kill heaps of Americans and make a huge impact. But isn't crashing a plane into the two towers and the pentagon huge. Sure they expected to kill all the people on the planes and some in the buildings but how do YOU know that they knew the buildings would come crashing down like that?

I know Howard hasn't said Sorry, if you read what I said the government is hiding from any negativity that was produced prior to the 1970's. Howard is still living in the 1950's and wont ever say sorry. Didn't you see where I said 'white washed' do you even know what that means?
