CD artwork

hhmm..being an art student and music kinda gerl i always like having a good look at the artwork on releases...did anyone buy muse's plug-in baby single?? oh my god....i mean, i love muse and all but FUK that was shocking artwerk. like, hugely bad. it was so unlike them. probably the worst i've seen all year. and i don't understand, because origin of symmetry was pretty cool i thought.

as fer the best, i really like odway's artwerk...and rumanastone's EPs always have cool photography..but nothing great really springs to mind at this time of nite. *thinks*

wat do yew guys think?

i luff the artwerk for augie march's sunset studies and fer avalanches since i left yew lp. bewdiful stuff. also have to say harpoon is one of my fave's over the years as is sekiden's better music thru mathematics. too cute.

oooh and dayvid have yew seen the video clip to tism (yer quote reminded me)?? i was on the ground wif tears wif all that crazy dancing.

should start a nu thread about fave videoclips but i reely can't be bothered rite now. maybe someone else can? if not it can wait. hehe

Hmmmm yeah i liked OSS artwork, it was pretty goods, but SO looked ok but a little unprofessional

eve6's horroscope has some pretty impressive work on it as does the dark wierd theme on F11's greyest of blue skies. i agree with the poor quality that was mentioned earlier though, you wonder what happened when certain bands were releasing something with the sad quality of thier visuals

i am liking the random collage art work in stephen malkmus's album.

and crooked rain, crooked rain by pavement is pretty cool.

The artwork on JEW's 'Clarity' is really good.  I liked the artwork in 'How it works' by bodyjar and the artwork on motorace's ''American shoes was cool'

*the ataris - end is forever (All of their covers are good though)

I don't have much good CD art work.  The Sound EP by Rumanastone looks pretty good to me especially because it's signed but the photography is good too.  Slightly Odway doesn't seem to bad to me it makes me happy, Elsewhere For 8 Minutes is also OK.  The worst I have seen would have to be Diana ah Naid, I Don't Think I'm Pregnant.  There was something else I was going to say but I forgot what it was so I'll go now.

I know what I was going to say now.  I like the Apology Wars by Blueline Medic, I don't know why I like it so much but at the moment everything about the CD (artwork and all) appeals to me.

Anyone seen the new Area7 album 'Say it to my Face' they had to do a quick redesign because of the terroist thing and now it's black, it reminds me so much of Spinal Tap.
