Band breakups

Whats the deal with all these bands breaking up.  A few bands have broken up lately and I probly haven't heard of many.  Savage Garden, Nitocris, At the Drive In, Five, The Spice Girls and Catatonia have all brocken up recently.  I only really got into Nitocris this year and then kapoof their gone and even though it was prediactable I think that its sad that At the Drive In split to.  
Car accidents are also on the rise I think, I know that car accidents happen all the time but Chris Cheney and The Donnas were involved in car accidents not that long ago and several months ago that dude from Augie March died in one.

It sucks when bands break up wether it be cos they have been toghether for years and want to move onto new things or musical differences it sucks - Skunk Hour are breaking up, it sad to think that you won't be going to see the band anymore in concert or listen to a new cd - a few bands try and have a comeback tour - but it never works, ever!!

yeah it really, really, sucks!!
and i know that a few of them are still releasing singles! whats with that? i suppose they've worked on them already so why not?
and i no its pop, but wats with savage garden breakin up and one of them didnt know, now thats HARSH!

one thing that pisses me off more when a band breaks up is when their record label decides to bring out a best of or an unreleased CD and they get all the money from sales, not that they dont get most of the money from CD sales anyway...

weta broke up late last year but got to release their album, although it only got released in NZ.

i miss bands like sidewinder and violetine

alot of the time with the best ofs, its paying back money owing, or just wanting to make extra if they hav the opportunity, its like a celebration of the band for all their glory...

bands always break up, its just crap wen a band breaks up and they dont seek new musical projects..

when silverchair changed labels, sony put out a best of cd and i know the band wasn't happy with it but they didn't have a choice.
Is klinger broken up? or are they just having a break?  I heard they were supposed to release a new EP but this was ages ago

I remember the band Fini Scad, they had a good CD but alas, they are no longer around

yes the harsh reality is that at the drive in have broken up.dom dum dum-dum(the funeral march)

The most painful thing is when yoou really like a band and then you realise that this band will break up, it could be tomorrow or it could be in 20 years.  I have heard of all the bands listed here but I didn't realise that half of them had broken up.
