Man, does anyone else feel like me? After seein the new clip, been to the f down concert, watched them on teli (pepsi live), i really am not satisfied with Jebediah......I heard there is a LATWirless tomorrow? JJJ? I hope it is as good as the last one in Melbourne...or is it a repeat? There MUST be more of Jebs on teli, and on the radio (nova, mmm, 2day or jjj) dont you guys think? I just dont feel the same as before with Jebediah, I mean I still think they ROCK but, i havent got enough of them....maybe it was the last song (in Sydney) that has dulled my admiration. Probably in Perth, the ppl there get heaps more of the Jebs.....i dont know..?...

i dont know bout you guys but i love the jebs to death and would love to c them succeed but i want them to have this kind of obscurity in aus. i dont want them to b like the offspring or killing heidi, and bend to the pressure of what the majority wants, but hopefully my beloved jebs would never sell out, and with songs like run of the company i dont think so. fingers crossed that they will rule the world in the next few years at least

there is such a thing as selling out, now let me think wat about the changes in music by the afore mentioned great bands compared to the albums before their popularity and when they became popular they delivered what they thought the majority wanted and in most cases failed.i'll name some more bands Blink 182- sorry kids but its true Limp bizkit Korn Green day (to an extent, i love them :Dbut they are just not rocken like they used to) i no that Jebs would never ever let a company control (hence my above refrence to the song 'run of the company') wat they want to do and think that they will end up headlining their own label soon! just a feelin in da bones!

couple o things..
1. i like killing heidi 2
2. selling out..will always be a debated issue..peronsally, i think there IS a such thing, like shambles said about blink182...but that doesnt mean i dont still like the band or am going to stop buying their music...
3. jebs sell out? heh not here in the US dont have a feel for sellouts in australia, lol...i was upset not hearing much, but im much better w/ the release of the fall down single..has been on repeat in my cd player...muhaha

i think that "selling out" can be well-applied to some bands, but still the phrase just shits me..its so..annoying.
i agree desmond, the rage spesh on SFK was great =)
happy endings, 20 years and seasick are my favourites from echolalia.

Green day (to an extent, i love themĀ but they are just not rocken like they used to) i know!! shit! i've loved them my whole life.... until Warning. i mean i even loved the Warning album as a whole, until the shocking singles started coming out. eewww! then i tried to play some of the songs on my guitar, but surprise surprise, there's no real guitar on Warning! i reckon Dookie and 10,000 Miles Away are the best. and nimrod is pretty impressive. anyway. to the topic: the Jebs scared me at first with Falldown. i was listening to it and was going "AHHHH!! HELP!!!!!! THEY'RE POP NOW!!!!" but then i saw the irony in the song - "with a catchy tune, colourful melody....." you know it's just tongue-in-cheek. and when it got to the bit where it goes "i've got a message and it comes for.... FREE!!" i knew it was good old Jebs again. you just gotta look past the "catchy tune" and all that and see that it's still them in real life, they're still the same old legends. P.S. great b-sides on the song, very impressive

with the sell out thing.........someone wrote somethin on the unwritten law board that is really well explained......
Wade (drummer from UL) talkin to this person at fox studios....
'This is selling out (pointing at a pic of Superheist on the front of a Sanity bag), having your picture on the front of a bag promoting Pepsi to sell more Pepsi..'
who agrees?....i sure as hell do!, sellin out isn't about the music u write.....it's about what you do with it that has nothing to do with music

id say its more about when a company unrelated to music that promotes a brand/shop etc.. to some extent this might be accepted, depending on how the band reacts to this, they stay the simple easy going musicians thay are and were, or they turn into total fukwits and such..
and obviously any band that doesnt create their own music cant sell out, cos they start off sold out.
please ass to this as i havent yet added examples.. or direct descriptions..

yah. i agree totally wid those definitions of selling out but with the bands i mentioned i think that there song writing and the total changes in the way that they played there music seemed as if they were doing it to please the multitudes not because it was original or something they "just thaut up" anyway i have to mention i heard sumwhere that the bagpipes in fall down were a total last minute thing and that they were happy cause they werent as serious with there song writing in shambles. actually i cant remember if its a dream or i read it? ? ? ? ? strange!
