And if you have work, like I do, you'll be making it to neither. Bah.

no one's mentioned the gig on saturday and i know some of yew were there because i'm stalking yew erm...i recognised yew...hehe
personally...i had a shab time. i thought the turnout for a gig with such a great lineup was pretty bad, the atmosphere was terrible and the audience didn't get into it at all. maybe it was that everyone felt self-conscious & didn't want to jive because there was so few people there, or something, but it sucked. i think it really impacted on the bands too.
gyroscope were really good and i enjoyed their set but they didn't quite blow me away like they usually do...plus it was so goddamn quiet in between songs. very uncomfortable. sekiden would've been awesome if there hadn't been so many technical difficulties because i've head nothing but amazing reports on their 18+ live shows while they were here. god i love sekiden.
turnstyle were very cool & that was the best set i've seen them play in a while. was stoked to hear them play 'cologne' - damn that is a cool song.
but yeah that's my opinion...so what did yew think??

Went to 18+ show and it was great, quite a crowd and there was some booty shakin' action, Sekiden are lots of fun live and were really good and Turnstyle I thought was one of the best shows I had seen them play - the Bus dance was entertainig. Double thumbs up ;D

I went to the AA show, it was pretty rad. Saw most of gyro, but yeah, as someone else said, they didnt blow me away like the normally do, maybe I just see them too much. Didn't see Sekiden, which didn't really both me, Turnstyle had mad game! Played all the good songs and some newer stuff, hadn't seen them so much lately, damn my friends not liking indie. But the "old days" were golden! How I shall miss them.

well yeh the atmosphere was a little strange, gyroscope were trying so hard to get the crowd pumped and it was just so non-responsive. But there is something about gyroscope, i am starting to go off them, they were however, rather tight.
sekiden were quite funky, they made me feel like dancing but i didn't coz i felt odd in such a stationary crowd. i so wanna buy i lil casio and make cheesy pop tunes!!
turnstyle were lovely, it was rather sad that it's the end. I thought the crowd could have got beind the whole thing more, i think the lack of numbers and the whole advertised start at 2, real start at 3 may have contributed to that...it was just kinda strange that non-one was getting in to it. (and the whole taking a friend who'd never heard the music before was a bit of an experience)

yea ive got to agree abotu the atmosphere on sat. the bands were great i thought, but the crowd pretty much sucked. not that i can talk really, its just that too little people= very self conscious people= no jiving/grooving/general rowdiness. so yea. i was actually pretty suprised at the lack of turnout. but hey, what can you do? but the bands were great and turnstyle rocked and they did a great rendition of im a bus. gotta lurve dat song.

Yeh i will just repeat what everyone else said and say that he atmopher was pretty average at the AA turnstyle - although i didn't know too much of their stuff (so not in a super positin to complain) i still thought everyone could have been a bit more ethusiastic. It was like a goddam library !
