I was just wondering if anyone went and what they thought? I had an awesome day! All the bands did a fine job. I have to say that the jebs put on one of the best performances i've ever seen. Great set list, unreal atmosphere and a kick ass performance !!!!!! ;D On the other hand i thought the vines put on a disgraceful live performance.  I thought they would of put on a great show but instead they had an empty, unpolished sound that really bored everyone around me. Maybe they just had a bad day?  ? What i thought was interesting is that Dave was absent from the jebs performance but was running around on stage working for The Living End!!  whats goin' on there? Anyone know? |

yeah ive seen dave doing roadie duties for the living end before...and also some others bands. i guess i roadies gotta do what a roadies gotta do.  |

Was very impressed with the Jebs  But when dont they sound good. I got the set list if anyone was wondering it was yesterday teflon eveready animal please leave worlds away harpoon ncd fall down star machine Have to say i was also very impressed with The Waifs. Vines sucked, as did Janes Addiction. But it seemed the bands on the right main stage had shit sound. |

god the melbourne time table sucks royal dick.. i dont know about other timetables, but melbournes there is a clash between then vines, deftones, sparta and jebs
which really does suck, i miss out on the jebs, vines and deftones which i wouldnt mind seeing

yeah that's the same deal with the perth big day out timetable. within the span of an hour, an hour and a half maybe, sparta, deftones, the fergusons, jebediah and the vines clash.
i'll be going to see deftones and sparta, but it sucks that i'll miss out on jebediah and the fergusons. the vines would have been good to see just so i could finally make my own mind up about them...i'd like to see if they're as crap live as people claim them to be/or if they live up to the hype that the media's been shoving down our throats over the last year or so (which i highly doubt).
oh well. sparta are going to rock the casbah!!

I saw a bit of footage from the sydney and gold coast BDO's of the vines and i'd never known it was possible for a band to be so bad live. This isn't just because i dont like the vines, they put in a very poor effort. Vocals were as if he didn't know what to sing so he just made fucked up noises, drummer wasn't keeping time and the sound overall was really flat. |
